1) In act 2 we see that one of Lady Macbeths weaknesses is that she becomes
paranoid when she hears commotion around her because she thought the noise came from
the servants that might have woken up but it was her husband. Lady Macbeth shows
strength in act 2 because of how she handled the situation of killing the king. Her
husband could not go through with killing him so she took charge by taking the dagger
herself from him.
2) The most memorable mental picture from Act 2 was when Macbeth has a vision
of a dagger with blood floating towards him in the hallway. Macbeth is with Duncan and
the knife he sees is pointing at Duncan and is floating towards him. Macbeth tries to stop
it but he does not know if it is real or not.
3) Macbeth changes because he failed at covering up the murder of King Duncan
which then makes Macbeth feel embarrassed or ashamed and he is so full of guilt he
constantly sees blood on his hand and he becomes paranoid with the thought of Banquo's
children taking the throne from him. Before he kills Duncan he sees a vision of a sword. I
sympathies Macbeth because he does everything out of fear or because his wife pushes
him to do bad deeds. It's like he does not have a mind of his own.
4) Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are both unhappy as king and queen because of fear
that people will find out the truth of the murders. They become paranoid and they do not
feel safe because they know there are consequences to the murders they committed.

5) Macbeth's active imagination reveals that he feels very guilty about the murders.

He knows that they are really bad and he knows he was in the wrong to do so. He
becomes mentally unstable and starts hallucinating because of his inner conflicts.
