27 organizations came together in NC to address concerns about students not bein
g ready for 21st century and jobs
In 2006, NC created a framework for education including life skills, content, an
d thinking/problem solving skills, and technology skills.
How has 21st Century Skills Framework effected education?
Expanded academic enrichment
Provided opportunities for families to learn after school ends
Tutorial services
Art, music and recreational programs
Help children meet standards in reading and math
