Adam Sandler: A Comedian to Remember

On June 24, 2015, 9:34 pm in New York City, wellknown comedian actor Adam Richard Sandler died
from as the result of a car accident while filming a
scene for him movie. Adam Sandler was mostly
known for his comedic roles in several movies such
as Hotel Transylvania, Just Go With It, and Bedtime
Stories. In addition to Sandlers acting, Sandler was
also known for his contributions in the field of a
screenwriter, television producer, film producer,
voice actor, songwriter, and an entrepreneur.
Adam Sandler was born on September 9, 1966 in
Brooklyn, New York. The son of an engineer, he
was third out of four children. Although Adam
Sandler did not excel academically, his interests in
sports led him to pursue basketball and wrestling
during his enrollment at Manchester Central High School. Besides wrestling and basketball, Adam
Sandler also displayed skill in music. Before he headed for the movie industry, he first broke into the
music industry by singing at his sister, Elizabeths wedding at the age of 11 and created his own band,
focusing in the genre of rock.
He started to perform as a stand up comedian at the age of 17. From there, he started appearing in movies
of various genres. He studied at New York University (NYU) and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts
Degree in 1991. Adam Sandler is also well-known for for his charity work and donations towards
organizations mainly regarding young children. Two of his mamy donations were towards Israel for
victims of the Israel-Lebanon war as he donated 400 playstations and a million dollar donation to the
Boys and Girls Club in his hometown Manchester, New Hampshire.
Not only an actor but also a family figure, Adam Sandler prioritized his relationship with his wife and
children. Spending quality time with his daughters meant staying home while watching the series of
Spongebob Squarepants, building legos, and solving jigsaw puzzles. Although he spent quality time at
home with his family, he also worked on several films with his wife as he was the director of the movie
his wife starred in which also contributed in the close relationship with his wife. Born in Coral Springs,
Florida, Jackie Sandler is also currently an actor and model who appeared in films written and produced
by Adam Sandler.

At the age of 49, he lived in Los Angeles with his family when his wife and two daughters received the
devastating news. Sandler was married on June 22, 2003. He is survived by his two daughters (Sadie and
Sunny Madison), his wife Jackie, and his three siblings, Scott, Valerie, and Elizabeth Sandler.
Adam Sandlers service will be held at Frank E. Campbell funeral chapel on Madison Avenue, New York.
Family and friends may visit him from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Adam Sandler will be remembered for his
comedic roles and a father and husband to his family.
