Major schemes being implemented :- Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS), trades targeted under the scheme are Electrician, Wireman, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electronic Mechanic, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Welder. The target group is ITI passed outs (NTC Holders) or Diploma holders in relevant disciplines or NAC holders with one year experience in industry or training establishment or Degree holders in relevant disciplines. Presently duration of CITS course is of one year comprising semester- I (modules covered are Trade Technology-i and Engineering Technology) and semester- Ii(modules covered are Trade Technology-tI and Training Methodology). ‘Advanced Vocational Training Scheme, to cater the needs of industrial work force in the areas concerned like CNC, CADICAM, Control Technologies, Advanced Welding, Metrology, Machine tool maintenance, Automobile, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Electrical, Electronics, Computer technology and Induction to Engineering Technology and Management. Training methods are being used, demonstration, practice at shop floor, class room lectures using modern teaching aids, Computer Based Training (CBT), Participatory methods, role play and learner centered and Group discussions. Some of the industries who have partnered in our mission are HAL, BDL, MIDHANI, DRDO, DGQA, SBC, Naval Dockyard, BRAHMOS Aerospace, Singareni Collieries, VST industries, Power grid corporation, Infotech, NMDC, Ordnance Factories, RITES, South Central Railway, Western Coalfields Ltd., Directorate of Employment and Training of different states and Engineering colleges. This institute is also conducting Tailor made course for organizations such as CEPTAM, BDL, Power Grid Corporation based on their requirement. Entrance Examination Fee - Rs. 300- for General Category, Rs. 100)- for SC/ST candidates Eligibility for Admission NOVT certificate in relevant trade or Diploma / Degree from recognized Board of Technical Education/University or equivalent Preference is given to the candidates deputed by Govt / Pvt TI sponsored by State Govt. However, private candidates with above requisite are also consider for admission subject to the availabilty of seats, on order or merit ‘Age limit = Minimum 18 years, No upper age limit ‘Award of Certificate Candidate has to secure 60 % marks in Theory and practical (in Internal examinations) and also an 80 % attendance. On possessing above requisite candidates will be allowed to appear for final examination conducted by NCVT, New Delhi in JanJul every year.
