INTRODUCTION

Students are put into pairs and given one sheet of paper between a pair. Students
are told the next activity will be a word game using cursive writing. They are to
decide amongst themselves whether to be person a or person b. Person a
chooses a word to write down in cursive. Person b then has to come up with a

word that begins with the last letter of the word person a has written. The game
continues with students taking it in turns. Students then play the game for ten
minutes.

Students are asked to copy a passage using cursive writing. Those who finish
early are asked to construct a postcard to a friend or family member detailing a

and one thing they have to improve on in cursive writing. Teacher puts an
example on the board.
