Throughout Tylin’s academic and extra curricular involvement, she always displays her greatest assets, her commitment, curiosity and interpersonal skills that are infectious to those around her. Last year, | had the opportunity to have Tylin in my AP United States History course and the last two years in Leadership and Student Government. Dating back to Tylin’s sophomore year | have been more than pleased with Tylin’s work ethic, drive for learning and desire to improve as a student. Tylin is always willing to do what it takes to become a better student, As a result of always wanting to do the best that she can, Tylin remains in good communication with her teachers. She is always willing to take time to meet one on one in order to obtain clarity and improve her work. While working in groups she often poses ideas that spark creativity among the entire group. Tylin also has the keen and mature ability to see the big picture surrounding important concepts while paying attention to the details. Tylin will often bring up insightful points or notice things that other students may not. What sets Tylin above the bar is her ability to balance a packed schedule while maintaining a very strong 3.76 GPA. For the last three years Tylin has been active with our school swim team. In addition, Tylin has been a member of the National Honors Society. Tylin has also been elected as a member of Student Government all four years and is currently serving as Vice President. As an elected member of student council, she has proven to bea creative and dependable leader that her peers can look up to. As advisor, | always knew | could count on Tylin for her creativity and dependability. Through these activities Tylin has learned valuable life skills in teamwork, leadership and compassion that she will take with her into the future. ‘Asa teacher, | looked forward to seeing Tylin in class because she is dependable, intelligent and thoughtful. | believe Tylin Burton will be a great asset to any university.
