Define Problem- Virginia Avenue needs a
more up-to-date design for its
reconstruction.
Brainstorm- Consider different designs for
road, sidewalk, and landscaping. Sketch
design ideas.
Research- Learn how to design roads, look
up local rules and regulations, and find out
client needs.
Select Best Solution- Make a decision
matrix to systematically decide on which
roads design to use.
Build Prototype- Create design proposal
for the road.
Test Prototype- Make sure the design
follows and meets all constraints and
criteria. Then, present proposal to mentor
for feedback.
Refine- Refine design based on mentors
feedback and my self-assessment.
Present- Present final design to mentor,
and at the Showcase. Lastly, post project
work to portfolio.
