Stauntons Valley Child Advocacy
Center (CAC) handled in 2015:s

Of the abuse cases handled in the

last three years by Stauntons center:

*These are not all the incidents of

child abuse. These cases are the ones
referred to the CAC by social workers
or police because a crime is strongly
suspected, a forensic interview is
needed and the child is old enough to
communicate. Cases in which the
child is too young to talk (or the child
has been killed) do not get referred
to the CAC. Neither do cases deemed
unfounded by police or social
workers.
