Hasrowsofgillsonthesidesofitsabdomen.Eatssmallplantsandanimals.FemaleMayflies
dieaftereggsarelaidinwater.Hastwopairsofwingsthatareheldverticallywhentheinsectis
resting.Hasbrownstripesalongitsthreetailsandisdark/lightbrown.

Cranefly:
Thetailhasupto39segments.Itsgillsareonhislowerabdomen.Itscategorizedbya
Vshapeonthebackitsthoraxanditswingvenation.Hasaslenderbodyandstiltlikelegs

WaterStrider:
Thestriderhasclawsonitsfeetthatarisebeforethetipwhichallowsthemtoskiponwater.
Theyeatsmallinsectsandareusuallyfoundinstreamsandponds.Ithaslonglegsandusually
aslenderbody.

Damselfly:
Damselsaresmallandblue.Usuallyseenmorefrequentlythandragonflies.Adultdragonflies
anddamselfliesareoftenmistakenfromoneanother.However,Damselfliesfoldorclosetheir
wingsovertheirbackandparalleltotheirbody.Theirbodiesarenarrowandhavefinerfeatures.

Dragonfly:
Theyhavesixspindlylegs,twofairlybigeyesandtwowings.Thedragonfliesgillsareonhis
abdomen,andareusuallybrownandgreen.

Truefly:
Theyarefoundinwarmwater.Whiteinsectwithashortandstreamlinedbody.Muscleis
containedonthesecondsegmentandinsomecaseshaslargecompoundeyesonthesidesof
thehead.

Dragonfly:
Ithassixspindlylegs,andabodythatisonlyafewtimeslongerthanitiswide.Theyhavetwo
fairlybigeyes.Theyhavelongthinbodies,verylargeeyes,andtheyholdtheir2pairsofwings
outflatoneitherside.Usuallybrownorgreenish.
