theirparentsinacaraccidentleavingthethe
eldestbrother,Darrel,totakecareofhisyounger
brothersaslongastheybehave.TheGreasersare

school.ThestorybeginsasPonyboyandtwoother
Greasersgotothemovies.Alongtheway,theboys
meettheSocsgirlfriendswhohavelefttheir
boyfriendsduetodrinkingtoomuch.Theboys
decidetowalkthegirlshome,buttheirboyfriends
appearandareenraged.Afightstarts,butis
quicklyavoidedwhenthegirlsagreetogowiththeir
boyfriends.Afterallofthecommotion,Ponyboy
sleepsonaparkandforgetsabouthiscurfew.He
comeshometoseehisDarrelfurious.Ponytriesto
explainthesituation,buttheragegetstoDarreland
