FADE IN:
INT. MEETING ROOM, GSOC BUILDING - MORNING
PETERS is sitting at a wide desk, across from four men and
women in suits who take notes of what he says. Some are
looking through his file. A camera is on the table, recording
the confession.
PETERS
And uh basically, when Henry went
missing his father sent in a police
report and spoke to a Garda officer
who set up a search party for four
days.
GSOC OFFICER #1
Okay, and then?
PETERS
The search party was abandoned, no
suspects or interviews were done.
The case went cold, nothing
happened. Theres no record of any
arrests as far as I know. I found
the casefile there in the closed
cases section.
GSOC OFFICER #1
Do you know who might have logged
it in?
PETERS gulps, he hesitates and raises his head, staring at
the camera recording him.
PETERS
Commissioner McMann, under the
request of Judas Norman.
The GSOC group look up at eachother and widen their eyes a
bit, starting to whisper to eachother.
PETERS (CONTD)
Its in the casefile there.
GSOC OFFICER #1
Have you brought this up to McMann
or Norman themselves? Does anyone
else know about this?

3.
PETERS
McMann and Norman dont know, yet.
Uhm, as far as the file goes...no,
I found that myself. In my own
work.
GSOC OFFICER #1
Right, well let me be clear on the
situation. Youre saying
Commissioner McMann and Judas
Norman, two highly liked activists
in the county covered up a childs
disappearance?
PETERS
Yes. I am, the child, Henry, went
missing from Judas Normans schools
and McMann was the head of the
investigations, they pushed out the
Special Detectives Unit on the
borders of Ballina from the case
straight after they started
investigating. Talk with Detective
Hyde over there, he was the one who
started it.
GSOC OFFICER #1
Well, uhm thank you for reporting
this Detective Peters but you
should know if you choose to go
along with this, your career and
name will be in the news a lot and
many other officers in your station
will dispise you. I dont know how
long you will get teased for, are
you sure you dont want to go down
as a confidential informant?
PETERS
Im sure, its better to come out
straight and not hide behind a
wall.
The GSOC group nod lightly as they look up to PETERS.

A large crowd stand outside the foundation, shouting and
screaming along with signs such as Rapist helper, child
molestor, child killer and corrupt pig above their
heads. Gardai struggle to hold back the crowd. A reporter

Henry Rollins. He stands up straight and walks over to the
TV.
REPORTER ON TV (CONTD)
Rollins went to one of Normans
schools, Tranquility Elementary and
was a well liked student. He went
missing in October of last year
after a party and was never seen
again.
LINCOLN widens his eyes and shakes his head as he watches the
TV, he squeezes his fist in anger.
LINCOLN

INT. DETECTIVE OFFICES - AFTERNOON
PETERS stands at his desk and looks through many files, some
Garda and Detectives are seen in the background talking,
glancing at him and pointing at him. A look of disgust and
anger on their faces.
REPORTER ON TV (O.S)
The information was brought to
light by hero Detective Christopher
Peters from the Ballina Garda
station, from which Commissioner
McMann, a friend of Judas Norman
who covered up the disappearance of
Rollins from the inside. Peters
brought the information to the GSOC
who are talking about taking heavy
measures to sort out both the
cover-up and disappearance of
Rollins.
PETERS looks up at the people talking about him and looking
at him, frowning slightly as they shake their heads at him
and turn away. He lowers his eyes to the floor before looking
to his right, at McManns office. We can see from the window
of the office, two GSOC officers talking with MCMANN who is
clearly angered. He eventually lowers his head and takes out
his badge and gun, laying them onto the desk. He walks to the
door.
REPORTER ON TV (O.S) (CONTD)
Judas Norman has so far, not made
any comments on the accusations and
has not been seen. Commissioner
McMann has supposedly retired from
his job as Commissioner after
thirty long years of hard work. He
has also made no comment.
MCMANN walks out of the office and stares at PETERS, giving
him a dirty look. PETERS watches him as he walks past.
REPORTER ON TV (O.S) (CONTD)
Many parents are now taking their
kids away from Normans schools and
churches after the accusations.
Some are even talking about going
to the Gardai with even more
accusations. This is RTE News, we

CAITLIN
Its not that.
PETERS
If its about McMann and Norman,
those scumbags deserve whats

wanted to help out the kids.
CAITLIN
Its not that either, Im annoyed
that you decided to do this, now.

PETERS
Im not surprised.
GARD BRIAN
Mmm, what happened with Lincoln? He

GARD BRIAN

PETERS
But back to this scene, Dustin
Boyle, is there anything about him?
GARD BRIAN
I checked the plates and MDC, hes
been missing for a couple of years
now. Reported missing by his
parents. Nothing much on his record
except for drink-driving and a
ticket or two.
PETERS
Right, Ill go look into him more
back at the station. Have the
Coroner send a report over to my
desk whenever he brings the body

LINCOLN
Or else Id get you myself and burn
your balls off with acid.
The YOUNG MAN raises his eyebrows and he starts to breath
quicker. LINCOLN leans forward.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
But I realised, thats too
childish. No, no. Id get you, beat
the living shit out of you and then
burn your balls off. Then cut off
your fingers and burn out your
eyes, cut off your lips.
The YOUNG MAN shakes his head as LINCOLN talks, he
interrupts.
YOUNG MAN
Im sorry, the drinking wasnt my
idea! Dustin came up with it! I

LINCOLN
Shut the fuck up, I talked with
Dustin.
The YOUNG MAN widens his eyes and gulps, his breathing rate
increases.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
You got her drunk, him drunk and
got him to drive the car. You
caused all the mess and got two
innocent people killed.
I...I..

YOUNG MAN

LINCOLN
If you ever get out while I live,
Ill hunt you down and do just as I
said. Word for word and make sure
you live. Think about it all eh?
Before you send in that appeal.

GARD BRIAN
I havent checked but look, Chris I
really am sorry to hear what

as he does so. The TV plays in the background, next to an old
grandfathers clock. He glances up towards the TV sometimes.
Suddenly a large banging is heard at the door. KRUEGER
continues to hum the hymn and lays the iron down. He turns
and approaches the door, opening it up.
LEO KRUEGER
Yes, hello?
PETERS

LEO KRUEGER

iron. He knees down beside LEO and grabs him by the neck, he
pushes his face down. LEO starts to groan louder and struggle
slightly. PETERS lowers the iron down onto LEOs face and
burns the left side of it. LEO shouts in pain.
AGGHH!

LEO KRUEGER

PETERS holds the iron down for a couple of seconds before

lifting it up. He stands and lays the iron down onto the iron
bed. He then slips out his gun from his waistband and raises
it up to LEOs head. His hands are shaking. LEO shivers in
pain and holds his hands up at PETERS, shaking them.
LEO KRUEGER (CONTD)
No, no! Please! I-Im sorry! I
didnt mean to do it, please dont

PETERS crosses his eyebrows as he holds the gun down to LEO,
the gun is shaking. PETERS re-aims at LEO and attempts to
shoot him. He cant, he stands there and keeps shaking. He
eventually lets up his eyebrows and looks down to the gun,
opening his mouth slightly. PETERS shakes his head.

PETERS

PETERS lowers the gun and looks around before placing the

around the place. He rushes to the door, swinging it open

he stares off around the construction site. Many other
builders in the background. The sun begins to lower.
EXT. CONSTRUCTION SITE, NEXT TO MOTORWAY - EVENING
PETERS walks towards his car, an Opel Astra 2014 , his jacket
over his shoulder and toolkit in hand. He opens up the
backseat and throws in his toolkit and jacket. He closes the
door and looks around at the vast, empty construction site
before he hops into the front seat.
CUT TO:
INT. PETERS' CAR - EVENING
PETERS drives along an empty long road in silence, as the
radio plays. It aint over yet - The Allmann Brothers plays
on the radio. He keeps his eyes fixed on the road as he
continues to drive. Suddenly, he starts to hear a faint
noise, getting louder and louder. He raises his head up a bit
and looks around for a couple of seconds. He turns off the
radio. The sound is still going. The noise gets louder. HONK
HONK HONK. PETERS looks up into the rear view mirror, a grey
Toyota Corolla speeds up behind him. A person is driving the
car, his face isnt seen. But he is honking his horn and and
flickering his car lights.
PETERS crosses his eyebrows as he looks into the mirror and
looks forward, gulping once before he moves the steering
wheel to the right. He pulls over.He turns his head to his
left, expecting the Corolla to drive around. It doesnt. It
pulls up behind him. PETERS looks into his mirror, the
drivers door to the Corolla opens. PETERS turns his head to
his right and opens up the glove compartment, removing a colt
Model .32. He slips it in between his seat and cup holder.

23.
We see some legs marching towards PETERS car, cheap trousers
and boots on the persons legs. The man finally comes to
PETERS car door, PETERS looks upto the man. It is LINCOLN,
52, long hair, mustache, red glassy eyes. He leans down onto
the car window. He nods once to PETERS
Peters.

LINCOLN

PETERS
Do I know you?
LINCOLN
Heh, you dont remember me?
Partner?
PETERS raises his head and nods slowly, looking down.
Lincoln..

PETERS

LINCOLN
Long time no see, hm?
PETERS
What do you need Lincoln, why you
pulled me over here?
LINCOLN
We need a talk.
PETERS
A talk? Hm, nah I dont have
anything to say to you Lincoln.
LINCOLN
Ill buy you a beer, cmon follow
me.
PETERS
But what do yoLINCOLN doesnt even stop, he turns and marches back towards
his car. PETERS watches him go and sighs in frustration. He
turns his head back down. He slips his hand in between his
seat and the cup holder, removing his colt. He slips it into
his waistband, he looks into the rear view mirror with an
angered look. He turns on the engine. The Corolla drives up
the road. PETERS presses his foot down onto the pedal.
CUT TO:

24.
EXT. MERRY MONK - LATE EVENING
The Merry Monk is pretty much deserted and much older looking
than it was before, less cars, aged design etc. PETERS and
LINCOLNs car are one of the only few cars in the parking
lot.
CUT TO:
INT. MERRY MONK - LATE EVENING
The interior of the bar is even more deserted and bare with
cheap, old seats and tables around the bar. Some patrons sit
around in the seats. LINCOLN and PETERS sit at a table, a
beer each between them. LINCOLN is lighting himself a
cigarette, PETERS stares at him with anger.
LINCOLN
You look like youre having a good
retirement.
PETERS
Mmm, you look like complete shit.
LINCOLN puffs on his cigarette and tilts his head a bit.
LINCOLN
Trust me, its better than being in
the old suits and uniforms.
PETERS
Whyd you bring me here?
LINCOLN
We need to talk.
PETERS
About what? I dont have nothing to
talk with you about, yknow I
should be bringing your ass down to
the station right now.
LINCOLN
We need to finish off something, we
got unfinished business.
PETERS
Unfinished business? Er, no all my
debts are paid off. You sure look
like you got some unpaid debts
though.

25.
LINCOLN
The Devil killer.
LINCOLN stares at PETERS as he lowers his hand. PETERS looks
back at LINCOLN and chuckles, shaking his head.
PETERS
Oh, I should have known.
LINCOLN
It aint over yet Peters, its
still going on. We never finiPETERS
Yknow Lincoln, it was uh a nice
trip down memory lane seeing you
again but Im gonna head home. Im
tired enough as it is.
PETERS starts to get up. LINCOLN sits back and shakes his
head at PETERS.
LINCOLN
Give me a few minutes Chris, a few
minutes is all I ask. I know you
dont have anything going on or
anything to get home to, nah all
you got is a construction job.
Stay, if you want to help me find
the real killer. Its bigger than I
thought.
PETERS looks at LINCOLN and bites his gums in anger, he sits
down and exhales, looking off to the side.
PETERS
What you got?
LINCOLN
Right, the uh the Norman
foundation, the churches, the
missing kids, the Devil killer. It
wasnt just the one thing, nah it
was something bigger. The whole
thing had all certain types of
sides.
PETERS
Why are you still going on about
all this? Its all over, Normans
dead, McMann retired-.
LINCOLN
Otto Scotts still in power.

26.
PETERS
For a small little while, until he
retires. Besides there was no proof
he was involved in the situation.
LINCOLN
He was in their circle jerk, look
Chris I need you to come see what I
have. Ive uncovered some big shit.
PETERS shakes his head, smirking in disbelief. LINCOLNs
hands start to shake, a sense of desperation in his voice.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Theres big things, big people.
Politicians, reverends, Gardai,
developers. All involved.
PETERS
All in that one thing? All involved
in the cover-ups? Ha.
LINCOLN
You have to see what I got. I need
you to help me.
PETERS
Look Lincoln, Ill uh Ill give you
some friendly advice before I hit
the road. Get some sleep, get some
help and get some friends, you look
like you havent seen the inside of
a bed for a whole year and have
only seen the inside of a bottle.
This whole story youre on about,
pure gibberish. Its like youve
been drunken so much you made up
this story to make your life worth
living or something you need to do.
LINCOLN
I havent seen the inside of a bed
no, neither have I had a personal
conversation with somebody except
for you in the last few years. Look
Chris, just come see what I got.
PETERS
No, yknow what I think Ill go. I
dont want my life to end up in the
shitter like yours Lincoln. Ive
been pretty clear here, I dont
want to help you.

27.
PETERS (CONTD)
Until we meet again in hell
Lincoln, dont talk with me.
PETERS stands up and picks up his jacket, throwing it over
his shoulder. He lays down some cash on the table and turns,
walking for the door. LINCOLN shakes his head in frustration,
he lowers his head.
LINCOLN
This is not what Jess would want
Chris, not at all.
PETERS stops, his eyes widen in anger and his lips twitch. He
turns around and looks back at LINCOLN, slowly approaching
him.
PETERS
Dont you dare use her fucking
name, dont even think about my
fucking daughter you drunk little
shit.
LINCOLN
Look Im sorry for bringing up
your-....her. But we have a debt
buddy, yes we. This is all on you
too. After everything went down in
04, that was you too.
PETERS stares LINCOLN down in anger, his fists squeezed.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
I wouldnt have called after you if
this wasnt important or necessary
Chris. I, really, need your help.
PETERS slowly lets up and starts to breath heavier, he
glances down at the floor before back at LINCOLN.
PETERS
What is it you have?
CUT TO:
INT. LINCOLN'S CARAVAN - NIGHT
The door to the caravan opens up, in walks LINCOLN with his
beer in hand and PETERS follows, his beer in hand. LINCOLN
switches on the light to the caravan. He closes the door
behind PETERS.

28.
LINCOLN
The place aint much, I dont have
much money to begin with so this is
the best place I could get.
PETERS
Hmpf, well it suits you.
LINCOLN walks further into the caravan, PETERS slowly
follows. He walks through a small kitchen and lays his beer
down onto the counter. He crosses his eyebrows and lays his
hand onto his waistband. A light switches on, PETERS reflexes
and tilts his head to his side before looking back up. In the
end of the caravan, there is many boxes with different dates
and words written on them, there is pictures on the wall, a
map with points on it. LINCOLN places his jacket onto a cheap
chair and lays his beer down.
LINCOLN
Now, the first thing I think I
should mention about the whole
Beasley/Devil killer arrest is that
there was no DNA or physical
evidence of Beasleys connecting to
Morgans home or Morgan himself, no
connections or nothing. Funnily
enough no one came to bring that up
PETERS
Which we know, Devil killer with no
connections.
LINCOLN
Nah, Ill get to that in a second.
But secondly.
LINCOLN approaches the map and places his hand onto it,
pointing at the marked places.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Ever since the late 80s, young
children have all gone missing
under mysterious circumstances. All
with some connections to schools or
churches funded by Judas Norman and
his foundation. Or they went
missing in a close area to a school
or church. Case in point, Henry
Rollins, Emma Thomas. Now if you
look here, each of the kids who
went missing were all apart of some
Judas Norman building.

29.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Whether he owned it, built it,
funded it, whatever. Orphanages,
schools, churches, hostels.
PETERS
Right, so youre linking this to
the Devil killer right? Get a
connection somewhere in it. Unless
youre saying the Devil killer is
some sort of school teacher or
priest involved in the Norman
funded buildings?
LINCOLN
Thats what Im thinking, yeah. But
theres other things. I found some
sort of connection.
LINCOLN goes towards a box and opens it up, taking out two
files. He turns and passes them to PETERS.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Two of the Devil killers victims,
Jason Myers and Julie Barnes. Myers
was a plumber remember? One of his
last jobs was at a school, Elk
Creek Charter School, a school
funded by the Norman foundation.
Shit.

PETERS

LINCOLN
And Julie Barnes was a teacher at
Tranquility Elementary, where Henry
Rollins and Meghan Bloom went.
PETERS
Well...youve got something there
Lincoln, but if you plan to bring
it to court youll need something
stronger.
LINCOLN
I have something here, uh..
LINCOLN goes over towards a box and opens it up. He begins to
root through it.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Some of the children who went
missing, I got some pictures of
them from when they were last seen
and some crime scene photos.

30.
He pulls out a set of photos and approaches PETERS, he looks
through them. PETERS lays down the files after he stops
reading them. He passes them to PETERS.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Ive looked through all of them,
not all have it in common but a
good few do. The first few there
are the ones that are similar. You
see that truck in the back?
PETERS begins to look through the photos, the pictures would
be of children smiling, parties in the background and some
would be of open streets. LINCOLN points onto some of the
pictures, sometimes up close or in the background would be a
beige Landrover Defender 90 TD5 - 2004, with its license
plate seen in some photos.
PETERS
Uh huh. Well that is something.
LINCOLN
I think maybe he had a job as a
plumber, painter, builder or maybe
he is a teacher, but one who comes
to houses. A home school teacher,
Ive been looking into stuff like
that but Ive come up with nothing.
PETERS
You think this is the Devil killer?
LINCOLN
Maybe, to me it is. Why was Norman
so quick to shut the whole Devil
case down hm? Before there was even
a proper investigation into
Morgans death, there was already a
squad from out of town packed and
ready.
PETERS
And you think that maybe others are
involved? That this goes higher
than it already is?
LINCOLN
Thats right.
PETERS
chuckles Christ, what turned you
into this, man?

31.
PETERS (CONTD)
You were a prick before, but you at
least could be a good detective.
Now youre talking politicians
being involved.
LINCOLN
You seen the business that Judas
Norman was involved in hm?
Construction, land deals, church
deals, business deals. All with
businesses and private limited
companies from out of the county.
His whole, foundation that he set
up all had backings and
shareholders from big people. For
example.
LINCOLN turns to a table and flicks through old articles,
pulling out one and handing it to PETERS.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Right after the kids started going
missing in 89, Judas Norman and a
rising construction company, Euro
Construction shake hands and join
forces. Euro Construction joins the
Norman foundation fund. And
wouldnt you know it? You remember
Beasley? How all the evidence was
conveniently found by the Fintan
Squad in his shed?
PETERS reads through the article HERO BALLINA ACTIVIST AND
EURO CONSTRUCTION LEADER, JOIN FORCES. JUDAS NORMAN and a
MAN IN A SUIT are seen grinning and shaking hands. PETERS
looks upto LINCOLN as he talks.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Beasleys shed was made by Euro
Construction, they had just
finished a couple of hours at that
before the Fintan Squad came
rolling down.
PETERS
Christ Lincoln, youre..youre
giving me a lot to absorb here. But
what makes you think that the Devil
killer actually works with Norman
on all of this? I mean, have you
ruled out the possibility that its
two different things?

32.
LINCOLN
No I havent, look I uh theres an
article around here somewhere. Not
sure where, but back in 2001, a
class from one of Normans schools
went on a class trip to Boyle. On
that same trip, one of the children
went missing.
PETERS holds out his hands, nodding slightly.
PETERS
So, it must be a teacher then? The
children were in their care.
LINCOLN
Not exactly, but on the same
weekend this happened, a
politician, Brent Lee was staying
in Boyle with his family on a
vacation. And he died, stabbed in
his hotel room late at night. Lee
was a fighter against Norman in a
political election.
PETERS
The Taoiseach.
LINCOLN
Exactly, now I checked up with some
Detectives at Boyle on their
investigations. They had found some
evidence to the killer, they found
out where he was staying. A room at
a B&B, they checked it out and he
said he came across some metal
figurines as he called them. Remind
you of something?
LINCOLN picks up some pictures and shows them to PETERS who
looks down on them, pictures of the metal burnt stickmen in a
room all on its own.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Now, that school shut down way
after that disappearance happened.
Accusations of child mistreatment
and molestation, partially stemmed
from that child disappearance.

33.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Anyway, I looked into the whole
thing and a couple of things stuck
out to me, one of which being the
vice principal Larry Shield.
CUT TO:
INT. HOUSE PARTY - NIGHT
We pan through a house on the first floor, the place is
crawling with people all dressed in different tight clothes.
Some men and women are kissing, women dancing and half naked.
The place is mostly dark except for disco lights shining
around it. We finally come towards LINCOLN, walking through
the crowd. He sticks out like a sore thumb, he wears a cheap
blue shirt with a vest underneath and he has his long hair.
He marches throughout the party and comes into a room, where
we see LARRY SHIELD, 40s, slick black hair, drunk, good
looking with some girls and guys, laughing. A beer in his
hand. LINCOLN approaches.
LINCOLN (V.O)
Hes some sort of party animal,
frequently attends hush hush ones
with prosts whatever.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Larry Shield.
LARRY SHIELD
Thats me buddy, but if youre
looking for friends it aint here.
LINCOLN
Im not looking for friends, Im
looking for information.
LARRY SHIELD
Oh yeah? On what?
LINCOLN
The Norman Foundation and his
schools.
LARRY SHIELD stops, he turns and looks to LINCOLN, a look of
fear and discomfort on his face. He nods his head lightly.
LARRY SHIELD
Yeah...how about you give me a
minute and let me get a refill eh?
Ill see you in a sec.

34.
LARRY nods his head lightly and pats LINCOLN on the shoulder,
he turns and walks off.
CUT TO:
EXT. HOUSE PARTY - NIGHT
LARRY SHIELD stands at his car door, he flicks through his
keys and is visibly shaking. He shakes his head as he looks
through it.
LARRY SHIELD
Cmon, cmon
LINCOLN (O.S)
They say the stupid flee and the
smart lie. I find that line full of
shit but sometimes, people like you
prove it to be true.
LARRY SHIELD turns his head around quickly out of fear and
drops his keys. LINCOLN stands there infront of him, nodding
his head slowly. LARRY gulps and begins to breath heavily.
LARRY SHIELD
Yeah...uh..yeah, I just want to
uhm..ge-get something out of my-.
LARRY attempts to throw a punch at LINCOLN but he is quick
and not drunk, he blocks the punch and grabs LARRYs arm,
twisting it and shoves him against the car. LARRY slightly
screams in pain.
LARRY SHIELD (CONTD)
Ah, argh fuck. Arg, alright,
alright I get it!
LINCOLN
Going to try and throw a shit punch
like that again? Go ahead, but
remember after that nothings going
to stop me from beating you.
LARRY nods his head slowly as he quietly squeals in pain,
LINCOLN waits a second and lets go of him. He steps back.
LARRY shakes his hand around and glances to LINCOLN.
LARRY SHIELD
What do you want to know?
LINCOLN
Your old school, the Norman
foundation. What happened in it?

35.
LARRY SHIELD
I dont know much to tell you,
Judas Norman set up the schools as
part of his foundation.
LINCOLN steps closer to LARRY, raising up his hand a bit.
LARRY backs off and raises his hands.
LARRY SHIELD (CONTD)
Okay, okay. There was some
allegations, thrown at the school
about child mistreatment or
whatever. We shut down after that,
nobody was attending.
LINCOLN
Were the allegations true?
LARRY SHIELD
They...they were..they were-.
LINCOLN
Were they true?!
LARRY SHIELD
Yes...yes they were true, but look
I never took part in it okay? That
was all the Brothers who owned it,
not me alright?
LINCOLN
What happened there hm? What
happened?
LARRY SHIELD
There was, oh my Jesus...children,
taken down and oh fuck, no I cant
say..I fucking cant
LARRY begins to break down, tears comes to his eyes and he
places his hand over his face.
LARRY SHIELD (CONTD)
Children were taken by some priests
down somewhere and they did their
things. But...but like I said I
never took part in it, I never done
shit like that.
LINCOLN sighs and looks around, shaking his head. LARRY
raises his hands up.
LARRY SHIELD (CONTD)
All I took part in was the parties.

36.
LINCOLN crosses his eyebrows and looks back to LARRY, he
turns his body to him. And he tilts his head.
LINCOLN
What parties?
LARRY SHIELD
You dont know about them? Oh, oh
fuck I shouldnt have mentioned
them. Theyll fucking kill me..
LINCOLN
What parties?
LARRY SHIELD
sighs There was uh...there was some
secret parties held uhm...very hush
hush, quiet things held by...I
dont know..big people I guess. You
went there and you got your rocks
off, prostitutes, private
ones..Politicians, priests,
developers, men in suits all types
of people. I went there sometimes.
LINCOLN
Where were they held? Howd you get
there?
LARRY SHIELD
It was some place out in the woods,
and I havent gone there in a
while. You got blindfolded and all,
look Im sorry but I cant tell you
more really thats all I know.
LINCOLN nods his head slowly as he looks at LARRY. He inserts
his hands into his pocket and takes out a drawing, unfolding
it. He shows it to LARRY.
LINCOLN
You ever see this guy at the
parties or around?
LARRY SHIELDS
I...I...no, no I havent seen
anything like him. Looks like a
fake picture though, what is it?
LINCOLN
Someone you dont want to meet.
CUT TO:

37.
INT. LINCOLNS CARAVAN - NIGHT
LINCOLN
Now, Shield mentioned parties with
private prostitutes, held by some
unknown guy but I think, it all
leads back to Judas Norman.
LINCOLN walks to a picture on the wall of JUDAS and points at
it. PETERS crosses his eyebrows.
PETERS
Hows that?
LINCOLN
Think about it, he was looking to
rise through the government right?
Remember when Oliver Todd said that
he saw Balor, at big parties? I
think that was big alarm bells for
Norman, thats why he had to get
rid of Todd quick. Well this was
his way of cutting corners, prost
parties, make friends, get dirt
anything he can find to help him.
And now I think that maybe Heath is
picking up these old files and
using them for himself. Hes
already on his way to getting Lord
Mayor status and hes not even 35
years old yet.
PETERS
Todds death, from him being at the
parties? How would Norman find out
about that though?
LINCOLN
From his man on the inside.
LINCOLN turns and picks up a file from a table, he opens it
up and shows PETERS. The file has a name in it, JOSEPH
KAPLAN - BACKGROUND HISTORY
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Joe Kaplan, you remember him as
that guard on duty at Todds death?
Yeah, well he was also on duty when
Gerry Williams took his tongue down
his own throat. Joe also got a
promotion once, on recommendation
of Judas Norman.

38.
PETERS
Christ. But what about the missing
kids? Whats with all of them?
LINCOLN
I think theyre at the parties
aswell. Todd was arrested for child
molestation right? Well I think
that makes it more likely thats
what he got at the parties, thats
why the children go missing. Now I
have a source here I went to, Tara
Morton, she went to one of Normans
schools back in the early to mid
90s and her family, accused the
school of sexual behaviour. And
shes now living out in Clare.
CUT TO:
INT. DINER - DAY
The diner is very busy, coffee is brewing and many people
standing at the counter, waiting for their food. We pan
towards the front door and in walks, LINCOLN in his cheap
clothes. He looks around the diner.
LINCOLN (V.O)
Her family called out a priest at
the school for harassing Tara and
eventually the rape and torture of
her, even getting her pregnant at
the age of 14.
Christ..

PETERS (V.O)

LINCOLN looks towards a booth and sees the back of a womans

head, sitting all on her own. He slowly walks towards it.
INT. DINER - FEW MINUTES LATER
LINCOLN and TARA MORTON, brunette, dirty, late 20s are
sitting across eachother at a booth, already in a
conversation. LINCOLN leans on the table.
TARA
I dont know too much about the
school, who ran it, when it was set
up or whatever. Never cared either.

39.
LINCOLN
Mhm, but your (beat) incident.
TARA
Yeah...I thought youd ask about
that.
TARA takes out her cigarette and lighter, she lights herself
a cig before taking a drag of it.
TARA (CONTD)
It was a priest, I think he owned
it or something. He uh...he liked
to keep me back for practices
sometimes.
TARA lowers her head, exhaling slowly. LINCOLN stares at her,
waiting for her to keep speaking.
TARA (CONTD)
There was a basement in the school,
nobody went near it, there was
rumors about bodies. Rumors, heh
and nobody actually believed it was
true.
Beat.
TARA (CONTD)
I got brought down to the basement
one day, blindfolded and all. I was
staying back for choir practice. I
was told I was being lead to a
game. I got put in there and laid
down onto a mattress, it was old
and dirty. I was uh, held down.
TARA exhales some of her smoke and stares off to the right.
TARA (CONTD)
There were men and they all took
their turns. I couldnt remember
their faces. But I remember one, he
was big and just the worst. Kept
telling me he was going to show me
his dreams. He scarred me on the
chest, a small B. Saying it was his
mark before the earth came down.
LINCOLN
What did he look like? A golden eye
maybe?

40.
TARA
He had a weird eye but it wasnt
golden. He had curly hair or
something.
Like this?

LINCOLN

LINCOLN takes out a page and slides it across the table. TARA
looks down onto it. It is the sketch of the man from earlier.
TARA shakes her head.
TARA
No, I dont know what that is but
it dont look like him. He had a
normal-ish face.
LINCOLN
You ever see Judas Norman around
the schools? Maybe in the basement?
TARA
Maybe...I dont-. I dont know. I
tried to forget all about that
place. But I think I remember
something about him coming over.
Taking on classes, I have memories
but theyre very faint.
LINCOLN
The basement, that happen more than
once?
TARA
Something like that. I think there
was one time, the memory is faint
but I remember some men came and
took pictures. One girl got put
into a small room, never heard
louder scratching in my entire
life. I can still hear it in my
dreams.
LINCOLN
One girl? More kids were taken down
there? I never heard anything about
that.
TARA
Yeah, we all got brought down there
once. About a dozen of us or
something. I can always remember
that one man though, the one I saw.
We all were scared of him.

41.
TARA (CONTD)
He had us down there once, forced
some kids to paint something on the
wall. Cant remember what. He
always had an old clock, ticking in
the background. And when he came to
us...we could never move.
LINCOLN
Was he a school teacher? Janitor?
TARA
No, I dont remember him being
anyone special. I only saw him in
the basement.
TARA leans forward and taps her cigarette, letting some ash
fall into an ash tray.
TARA (CONTD)
Couple of weeks into what was
happening, we were all scared and
we could never tell anybody. He had
a great bit of power over us
yknow? And he knew it. One day,
some girl went on the run from the
basement while he wasnt looking.
The sounds of anger he made when he
found out, he almost killed us. He
scratched us all. Thats how my Ma
found out. I cant remember the
girls name but she turned up in
the newspapers a little while
later. She was found, sent to a
hospital. I think.
LINCOLN crosses his eyebrows and looks to his left before
looking back at TARA.
LINCOLN
Emma Thomas?
Maybe.

TARA

LINCOLN
That all you remember?
TARA
Pretty much...so many weeks and
months in a therapists office.
Trying to convince me all it was a
dream. Tried to have me committed
alongside that other girl.

42.
TARA (CONTD)
And sometimes, with how horrible
that man was. I thought maybe it
was all a dream.
LINCOLN
Im afraid that aint so.
TARA
Ive come to that realisation now.
After all, what am I now hm? Im a
24 year old lonely cigarette
smoking woman living with a child I
shouldnt even have. Only something
you could come up with in a dream.
LINCOLN
Worst part about dreams is.
Beat. LINCOLN looks up to TARA.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
One day, you might never wake up.
LINCOLN stares at TARA for a moment, she stares back before
lowering her head and she exhales once before she looks
around. She picks up her walking stick and stands up, she
shakes slightly as she gains her balance. LINCOLN stares down
at the table. TARA limps slightly to the door, with the help
of her walking stick.
LINCOLN (V.O) (CONTD)
Now, I looked into this man which
I believe is Balor.
CUT TO:
INT. LINCOLN'S CARAVAN - NIGHT
LINCOLN stands infront of PETERS, his hands on his hips as
PETERS looks through files.
LINCOLN
Nearly everyone of the kids at that
school were quiet about him and the
basement. I talked with one of them
who went into an anyphylactic shock
when I asked about the man.
PETERS
So wait, Balor. He worked at the
school?

43.
LINCOLN
Something like that, I think so
yeah. I got the word out on Balors
description through some people,
found some old files. Turns out
there was one girl, said she saw a
man with a golden eye come in and
kill her mother right in her
hospital bed. The another saw him
arguing with a priest. And then all
them kids from the basement.
LINCOLN points his index finger at the sketch of the man on
the wall.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Im not sure who he is, whats his
game, where he works but hes the
centre at all of this. The child
disappearances, the Devil killer.
PETERS
The school Tara mentioned, you
checked it out right?
LINCOLN
Yeah, it was located somewhere out
East. I checked it out two years
ago or something, cant remember
the exact location. The place was
long abandoned though.

INT. BASEMENT, OLD NORMAN SCHOOL - DAY
The basement is very old, looks to have not been in use since
two decades ago. There is a faint light shining in from some
rectangular windows at the top but are barred up. The door to
the basement is gone but a plastic cover is over it, it blows
slightly in the wind. Everything is silent until, the cover
is pulled up and in walks LINCOLN, flashlight in hand and
latex gloves on. He walks inside and lowers the cover. He
looks around and stands still, taking in the location.
The room is pretty big and some desk are in the room, they
are covered in cobwebs. LINCOLN raises up the flashlight and
turns it on. He shines the light around the room and looks at
all the tables and cobwebs. He slowly walks forward as he
keeps his eyes on the floor. He stops and tilts his head,
shining the light over to a table on his right. Something is
sticking out.

44.
LINCOLN slowly approaches it and turns around the table, he
shines the flashlight down onto a metal burnt figure. It is
covered in cobwebs also. He raises his head up a bit and
looks around. He takes out his camera from his pocket and
raises it up, taking a quick picture. He lowers the camera
and turns, he continues to walk.
There is lots of janitor equipment, old boxes and broken
chairs in the basement, packed into corners. LINCOLN looks at
it all before he sees something at the end of the room. A
mattress. He approaches it slowly and shines his light down
onto it. The mattress is old and has faint bloodstains on it.
It is infront of a radiator, old knots and rope is tied to
the radiator. LINCOLN knees down as he looks over the bed, he
looks towards the rope and squints, raising the flashlight up
at it. Faint blood is on it. He lowers his head once and
gulps, looking back around.
He snaps another picture as he slowly stands up, he turns his
flashlight around before he comes to a door to the right of
the bed. A wooden one, old and with cracks on it. LINCOLN
crosses his eyebrows and slowly approaches it. He puts his
hand onto the handle and opens it slowly, a high creak sound
as he opens. He holds the door open wide and shines the light
inside, it is empty although there is lots of dirt and more
bits of blood on the floor and walls. At the back of the
small room, there is small paintings of stickmen and flames.
Some words painted on the wall, even in blood. LINCOLN shakes
his head and lowers it down, he sees something in the corner
of his eye and looks at the back of the door.
LINCOLN shines the light onto the back of the door, multiple
scratch marks digging into the wood along with faint bits of
dried blood on the back of the door. There are even some
words like, help me, hes coming, hes with me, even
when I sleep. LINCOLN has the light on the door before he
takes out his camera and takes a picture.
LINCOLN steps back and closes the door. He steps back. A
swooshing sound is heard. LINCOLN turns around quickly and
shines his light behind him, nothing. But as he shines the
light, it hits the wall across from him and he sees on the
wall, a really big eye on the wall with a golden iris. Poorly
painted orange flames underneath it and some more stickmen.
LINCOLN slowly approaches it and keeps the light on it. He
stops at it and looks over the drawing, his breathing changes
slightly. He stares into the golden iris.
LINCOLN (V.O)
I checked out Taras old school,
where this supposedly all took
place alright?

INT. LINCOLN'S CARAVAN - NIGHT
PETERS leans back onto a table and watches LINCOLN who is at
a box, rooting through it for something. He pulls out a set
of pictures.
LINCOLN
It aint been in use since the 90s
but it was still there, unowned. I
took a look inside and came down to
the basement where I saw all of
this.
LINCOLN passes the pictures to PETERS who crosses his
eyebrows and a look of disgust and fear on his face, he
routes through the photos.
PETERS
Oh Jesus Christ.
LINCOLN
I dont think this is the only
school either, all the other
allegations, the connections. Nah,
this aint a once off. And that
school, it shut down in 93 after it
received multiple complaints, all
of which were silenced one way or
another after taken on by the
Gardai. The school shut down and
opened up again in 97 but this time
under a new name, Pinewood College
in Foxford with the same priests
and bishops from the old school and
built, funded and owned by the
Norman foundation.
PETERS
And what happened with that school?
LINCOLN
Its still open today, taking in
almost 200 students a year. So far
there havent been allegations but
I have my doubts.
PETERS sighs in disgust as he looks down at the pictures and
lays them down onto a table, LINCOLN shakes his head slowly
as he looks to PETERS.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
I wont ignore all this Peters, Im
not letting this go again. I wont
join the sheep in the flock.

46.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Im telling you, theres something
here that we have. We can really
get some more evidence on it, if
you help me.
PETERS
But like I said earlier Lincoln,
everything is over. McMann is
living in some bungalow out in
Donegal, Normans dead from a
stroke and Otto Scotts on the way
out.
LINCOLN
The Devil killer is still out there
Chris, and it aint over yet. Judas
Normans fuckin son, Heath Norman
is taking over the family business.
Hes trying to get back where his
dad left off. And those child
disappearances? Theyre starting up
again, its all happening all over
again, like a never ending cycle.
PETERS
sighs Well, what do you want me
for? What help you need?
LINCOLN
Youve got some old friends in the
village, the station, hell the
community centre. I need records,
crimes, stats, missing persons
reports. Anything I can find
linking to the Devil killer or the
Norman foundation.
PETERS
I havent talked with any of those
people in years Lincoln, fuck Im
probably a ghost to them now.
LINCOLN
Well youre more of a peoples guy
compared to me. And I dont have
any friends to turn to, never had
any to begin with.
PETERS
Except me? Youre wanting to turn
to me after what happened before?

47.
LINCOLN
No, if I could do it all on my own
I would. Quite frankly, it still
pains me a bit that I have to talk
with you but here we are, this is
where fate has brought us again.
PETERS
I never thought youd be quite a
believer in fate, Linc.
LINCOLN
I dont. Anyway, Ive got a list
here of names and records to run.
The most important, that license
plate on the pick-up truck.
PETERS
Right, well first things first. If
were starting up something like
this. We need a place to expand. I
already feel like Im in a sauna in
here.
LINCOLN
Ill work something out. You just
get going on them files. Heres the
list that I want you to look into.
LINCOLN turns and walks to a table, picking up some pages
before taking one out. He turns and walks to PETERS, handing
him the page. PETERS takes it and looks through it.
LINCOLN (CONTD)
Keep an eye out for any patterns,
re-occuring names, addresses
whatever.
PETERS nods as he reads through the list and looks up to
LINCOLN.
