Contingency plan
The struggle Ill have is making a time that all the cast can do. The music video
scene will have a lot of actors in it I need four people in the band and they will be
the band in each scene. The music video scene will have another seven people.
Three as the film crew and four people to play the chavs. I can easily get all
these people from college but because of different time tables there will
automatically be a problem because I will have to do it during a Sunday evening
so I have an empty car park.my actors will also have a lot of work to do so Im
planning on either filming it close to where the majority of actors live. I will also
ask some of my friends to be back up if some of the original actors cant make
the shoot. This wouldnt be ideal as they wont have the proper idea of the video
and they wouldnt know the song.
The locations are also another problem. The only location that I know I can rely
on is in the studio the other two are tricky. The music video scene is filmed
outside the main problem with this is that if it rain I will struggle to move the
instruments to the location as it is in the woods and down a steep hill. I also
dont want any of the instruments to get broken by rust or if I drop them moving
them to the location. Ill get around this hurdle by having a back-up location that
is safer to get to. Like a park/garden. This will be a problem though as id need to
find somewhere quiet enough that the public wouldnt be caught in a shot this
could be fixed by putting up signs asking them to not get in the shot and to walk
around. The other location is a small, grotty club. The problem ill have with this is
finding somewhere that would happily let me film before it opens and for free. If I
cant find anywhere by filming week then Im going to swap this scene for a
rehearsal scene. The band performing in their bed room and their mum comes in
with tea and biscuits getting in the way of the shot. The studio

content
My final major project is a music video for the harbour by a band called yak. It
starts off with a a tv show host introducing the band (introducing them as park
court and calling the song paris is blurry and then the camera cuts to the
band getting ready under some really pretty lighting and then they a tart playing
and they go mental and playing all this loud noise that contradicts the nice
lighting.it then cuts to the band shooting a music video (breaking down the
fourth wall by putting people with cameras and people doing the bands make
up). Set in an empty car park with a load of car head lights shining on the band,
theyre all wearing clich glam rock clothing and make up. It cuts to another
scene where they are playing a gig in a tiny club, dressed up in grungy/punk

clothing just staring at their shoes not really moving. It cuts between all these
scenes until the last minute. In the last minute is when it all starts going wrong.
the TV scene the band start throwing around their instruments and beating the
TV show host, the bouncers come on stage and take the band away while theyre
still trying to play. The music video scene the band and film crew get beet up by
all of these chavs with baseball bats and the last shot from this scene is one of
the chavs filming (first person shot) himself running away. On the stage scene
when everything goes wrong. The camera pans round to this empty club with
one guy dancing around, smashed, screaming and cheering like theyre the best
band in the world.

Health and safety

Chat show performance-The band are jumping around swinging their
instruments in a confined space. To make sure no one hits anyone Im
going to make sure that the two guitarists jump about and swing in
different directions than each other so that there arent any bumps and
cracked heads. Choreograph the guitarists so that they cant hit each
other, the drums or the wall.
When the bouncers carry the band off they are still playing, the drummer
kicks his drum kit around as there are other people still on stage this could
potentially be dangerous as drums are really heavy and can bruise people.
Music video-The location that Im filming this scene has two ways to get
there. One way is pretty much a 180 degree drop down that if you plan on
carrying instruments down there you can slip and will break something in
your body. the other way is safer but longer and if it rains is incredibly
slippery and slipping. I am going to take the instruments down to the
location on the less steep but longer rout I will also make sure I have
enough people to move the equipment so people dont over do
themselves this is going to take a small chunk out of my budget
The concert-Because its quite a dull scene with little movement there
arent many issues with health and safety.

If I need to swap the concert scene for the rehearsal scene.

Rehearsal scene
Rehearsal scene- there is the risk of the band smashing into each other
and also damaging equipment. Ill evenly space the band members apart
and move the camera man around each member.
