To Whom It May Concern:

I am very pleased to complete this letter for Amy Stiff. As Amys cooperating teacher at Ecole
St. Mary, in Lethbridge, Alberta; I have had the opportunity to team teach and plan with Amy.
This was a wonderful experience to work together and watch Amy develop innovative and
engaging projects for the students to learn and become involved in. Miss. Stiff was responsible
for teaching grade 6 English Language Arts, Physical Education and Health as part of her
practicum.
In planning an English Language Arts Unit: Paragraph Writing, Amy was able to incorporate
many teaching and learning styles. She created her own unique and creative lesson plans to
introduce each topic in an engaging way. Each lesson was linked directly to learner outcomes
and the curriculum. Throughout each of the lessons taught it was observed that students were
active and engaged. The unit was very successful and demonstrated Amys confidence in
technology and ability to create, team plan, share, and implement wonderful curricular driven
lessons.
Amy has demonstrated a very positive and proactive teaching style. She took the time to help us
with the Leadership Team, which helped in building a positive rapport with the students. She
stepped up to assist within the school whenever she was needed. Miss. Stiff helped selling candy
grams at lunch and participated in all events leading up to the Christmas assembly.
The qualities that impressed me the most about Miss. Stiff was her ability to organize and
maintain a well-structured and disciplined class at all times. Amy demonstrated her ability to
work well as part of a team and she continually shared with myself and her grade team the unit
and lesson plans she had created. She had a professional rapport with the students, parents and
the other staff members and it was obvious that the students and staff had a great deal of respect
for Miss. Stiff as a teacher.
I would not hesitate to recommend Amy for any teaching position that she chose to apply for.
Sincerely,
Selena Frizzley
