AIPMT (NEET PHASE 1)2016 Question Paper Analysis (1st May 2016)

The most prestigious Medical Entrance Exam AIPMT 2016 held on 1-May-2016 at various exam centers
across nation from 10 am to 1 pm. 12 codes A, B, C, D, P, Q, R, S, W, X,Y and Z were provided to
students.
The number of questions in the paper was 180 and it was of 720 marks. Each question was of 4 marks and
1 mark would be deducted for each wrong answer.
OVER ALL QUESTION PAPER ANALYSIS
PHYSICS
This is an above average paper. 22 questions asked from class 11 syllabus while 23 questions asked from
class 12 syllabus. If compared to previous year AIPMT exam, this year physics paper is lengthy and
around 8 to 10 questions are rank deciding questions.
CHEMISTRY
Chemistry paper has 44.5% portion from class 11 and 55.5% portion from class 12. Approximate 80%
questions are easy or average level while 20% questions are difficult. It is a balanced paper in terms of
distribution of questions in Physical, Inorganic and Organic chemistry.
BIOLOGY
Question Paper is easier as compared to last year. Questions had reference from NCERT. Few questions
were tricky. Overall it is an average paper.
