Vegetable Stir Fry & Rice Pilaf

Sweat diced onion in butter


Add the rice & stir until rice is coated with butter
Add the vegetable stock
Bring to boil while stirring
Place lid on pot and simmer until rice is el dente
and all the liquid is absorbed.

Yield: 3 Cups

Vegetable Stir-Fry
Quantity

Ingredients

chopped ginger
chopped garlic
sliced onion
thinly sliced carrots
stalk celery sliced
broccoli florets cut small
bean sprouts
hoisin sauce or oyster sauce or soy sauce

Method
1. In a large frying pan or wok, heat oil over high heat
2. Add onions and garlic and saut, stirring constantly
3. Add celery, carrots and then broccoli, and stir-fry for approx. 4 minutes or until
the vegetables are tender, adding a spoon of water to prevent scalding or burning
at the bottom of the pan
4. Add bean sprouts and your choice of Sauce, stirring until all vegetables are coated
and sprouts are warm.
5. Serve over rice and garnish.
Yield: Serves 2 3 people
