Advances in agricultural technologies allowed farmers to make the
most of existing crops to minimize harmful effects to the soil and the crops
themselves. Before the advances, 42 percent of the worlds potential crop
production is lost annually due to weeds, insects, and diseases, By increasing
plant genetic mutation, this ensured environmental safety of the production
for the crop, allowing them to adapt to their once potential hazards.
