To Whom It May Concern,
It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Alexandra Briggs. I have firsthand
knowledge of Alexandras teaching ability because I am currently observing and supervising her while she is
completing sixteen weeks of general education student teaching. I meet frequently with her to discuss issues
related to learning and instruction. Ms. Briggs has demonstrated consistently in depth knowledge of instruction,
learning and student development.
During each observation to date she has demonstrated outstanding skills in lesson design. All lessons have been
objective based and the learning activities have related directly to achieving the objective. Each lesson
observed was designed to address multiple learning styles, was creative and interesting. Alexandra has
demonstrated exceptional knowledge in the area of student achievement and assessment. Ms. Briggs frequently
asks questions for self improvement and professional growth. She was invited to the National Middle Level
Education Conference and attended it this Fall. She is very congenial and cooperative. Alexandra has
demonstrated her belief in active student participation in learning. She uses many whole brain techniques
with her students and is excellent at maintaining high levels of student engagement in learning. Ms. Briggs is
able to work with an individual student and maintain awareness of the entire group. Her classroom and
behavior management skills are excellent. She is positive and proactive!
In my work with Alexandra I have seen many positive attributes. Some of those attributes are honesty, caring,
awesome work ethic, creativity, gentleness, and an upbeat personality. She is passionate about teaching and
helping young people develop to their fullest potential. She is an excellent role model for her students. Ms.
Briggs is naturally inquisitive and a quick learner. Alexandra is collaborative and fun to be around! I have
thoroughly enjoyed working with Ms. Briggs and building a friendship with her.
In conclusion, Ms. Briggs has my highest recommendation for a teaching position in any school district. She
will be an excellent addition to any staff and a master teacher. Do your learning community a favor and hire
Alexandra! If you wish additional information, please contact me at 517-582-0023.
Sincerely,

Timothy L. Young
