Excellency,
I have the honour to transmit herewith the outcome document of the United Nations
Summit for the adoption of the post-2015 development agenda whieh was agreed by
consensus, as indicated in the attached letter dated II August 2015 from the CoFacilitators of the intergovernmental negotiations on the post-20 15 development agenda,
H.E. David Donoghue, Permanent Representative of Ireland, and II.E. Macharia Kamau,
Permanent Representative of Kenya.
I would like to commend the Co-Facilitators, Member States and Observers for the
tireless efforts and constructive engagement that culminated in this successful outcome.
In early September, on a date to be communicated in due course, I will convene a plenary
meeting of the General Assembly to take action on a draft resolution to transmit the
outcome document to the seventieth session for consideration and adoption during the
Summit.

Excellency,
We are pleased to report that the draft outcome document of the United Nations
Summit for the adoption of the post-20 15 development agenda was agreed by consensus by
the member States on Sunday 2 August 2015.
Attached please find the adopted outcome document with requisite edits and
amendments as announced during the plenary.
As Co-facilitators of the process we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to you,
Excellency, for your unwavering support throughout this journey, and thank also the member
States for their continued constructive spirit of collaboration.
