BMR- Basal metabolic rateis the amount of


energy expended while at rest in a neutrally
temperate environment
PAL- Physical activity level incorporate relevant
growth factor for age. They correspond to the
following activities: 1.2 bed rest; 1.4 very
sedentary; 1.6 light activity; 1.8 moderate
activity; 2.0 heavy activity; 2.2 vigorous
activity
