Historical and Fictional Celebrity activity for your Big Jubilee Lunch
This is a great icebreaker to begin an event. The aim of the activity is to get people
mixing and talking to one another!
Have a list of suitable celebrities both historical and fictional, printed on paper or
cardboard large enough for others to read easily.
As people arrive, pin a celebrity to their back ensuring the person does not see the
name. They are to guess what character they are by asking other questions. The
other person may only answer yes or no. For every yes answer, they can ask
another question to the same person. When they receive a no answer they must
find a different person to ask another question. Keep asking questions until they
discover who they are. E.g. Am I a living person? Am I British? Am I on TV?
Have people keep a tally of how many questions they have asked before they
discover their celebrity. Make sure you involve children so try to choose a wellknown character that they may know. Add any names to this list maybe well known
people in your street or community.
