CUBAN MISSILE
CRISIS 1962
Soviet started to build nuclear missile
launch sites on Cuba.
Kennedy wanted to remove the missiles
from Cuba
Soviets removed the missiles in
response to the United States blockade
of Cuba

SOUTH VIETNAM
The United States intervened to stop the
spread of communism the Domino
Theory
1954 Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower began
to start sending weapons and military
advisors to help South Vietnamese army.
1963 Pres. Kennedy increased the
support with more weapons

responsibilities. Men came home from
the war. This lead to a huge
demographics
GI Bill of Rights gave education,
housing, and employment benefits to
WWII veterans
