INTRODUCTION

The optimization problem of transportation route is a very important thing to be noticed by a

distribution company. This problem is related to the shortest driving path that will be passed. In
this paper, we discuss a method to compute the shortest path on the distribution route by using
min-plus algebra. We construct a model of distribution route in the form of weighted digraph
and its matrix representation. Then we compute the shortest path by using min-operation. The
result of this computation is the shortest path matrix whose entries represent the shortest path
from a location to another location.
METHOD
The distribution networks are modeled as weighted digraph and the distance between location
and location is indicated by
. The entries of matrix
is corresponding to weight of arc.
If there is no road from

to , then we set the value of

= +. Next, by using power

operation
, we have matrices which give shortest path for k-arc length. Then, we minimize
it by min-operation. Finally, we obtain a matrix which contains the minimum weight from
all paths with different length from to
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Based on the graph of distribution route in figure 1,
we obtain matrix
