Pope John XXIV, in a surprise

press release from the Vatican
on Tuesday, has officially
approved the creation of
designer babies.
After close examination of the
scriptures and the input of the
bishops and archbishops, we
have come to the conclusion
that it is permissible for a
Catholic to choose physical
features of their children, said
the pope.
This decision marks a
remarkable turnaround in
church dogma that became increasingly conservative during the tenure of Pope Benedict XVII.
The previous pope was staunchly against any form of human genetic augmentation, referring to
it as a tool of Satan and an abomination in the eyes of the Lord before his death in 2034.
This Pope, however, has something else to say.
Gods plan for us, in the words of our Saviour Jesus Christ, is to live life to the fullest. The
happiness and love of a parent is like nothing else, and this can only contribute to said
happiness and love.
Despite this ruling, the church is still against the use of augmentation to change the sex or
gender of the child.
Do not take this announcement as permission to change the gender of the child, warned the
pope, as the Lord made them male and female. This is a gross violation of Gods Word.
This change is one of a series of more progressive policies by the Catholic Church with regards
to genetics during the reign of John XXIV.
