Another EPCC contract was signed by the national oil company
with a consortium of Tecnimont SpA, Huanqiu Contracting and
Engineering Corp, TecnimontHQC Sdn Bhd and TecnimontHQC S.c.a.r.l. (a company
incorporated in Italy) for a polypropylene (PP) plant. Upon completion, the LLDPE plant will be
able to produce 350,000 tonnes per annum of LLDPE, the EOEG plant will produce 740,000
tonnes of monoethylene glycol and the PP plant will produce 900,000 tonnes of homopolymer
and copolymer polypropylene. Bernama
