Katie Morag Day at Preston Park
Monday 20th June 2016
The children in Year Two have been invited to take part in an exciting event at
Preston Park on Monday 20th June 2016. It is a day with various activities based
around the theme of the Katie Morag stories. The children will be involved in
activities such as a simple orienteering walk to find clues about Katie Morag, and
other tasks linked to different areas of the curriculum.
The event is being organised through the local Secondary School Partnership
Programme and all transport costs will be paid for by school with the help of our
PTA, Friends of Ingleby Mill.
The children will leave school at approximately 9.15 am and arrive back at school
by approximately 3.00 p.m. All the activities are outdoors so the children will need
to be appropriately dressed for the weather on the day. Please remember a water
bottle, a sun cap and to apply sun lotion before coming to school if necessary. The
children do need to wear school jumpers but trainers and trousers would be
advisable. If your child has a school dinner, a packed lunch has been ordered for
that day. Otherwise children will need to bring their own packed lunch.
If you are able and willing to help on this visit, and have a current enhanced DBS
check, please would you let us know as soon as possible. Your help would be
appreciated.
Please complete the slip below and return it as soon as possible to your childs class
teacher.
