I am including this piece because I used/learned
the skills above (Core Competency), and got a
good grade on it. I learned quite a few new facts in
a short period of amount of time, just by
answering ten questions.
I learned more about balancing a check book and
saving/spending money. We ran a sim after we
completed the math and reading test, where we
had to cash the sims checks, balance a check book
for the sim, and invest in different things. I learned
how to invest in a few stocks, and how to have
multiple accounts so you can save money. I
learned what an overdraft protection and overdraft
fee was.
I utilized my money management skills. I also
utilized my balancing a checkbook skill. I had
some knowledge about a checkbook prior to this
activity, but not much. I utilized my reading and
thinking skills. I learned more about checking and
banking accounts that I never knew before. I got
frustrated sometimes with knowledge matters, so I
developed patients through it all.
My grade was 90/100 on this project, so if I was to
do it again I would take more time and figure out
the question that I missed. I would also pay more

attention to the questions and teach myself

something rather than just answering them to be
able and move on.
