DOMESTIC POLICY
The Catholic Monarchs restore royal authority in
Spain. They created a group named the Holy
Brotherhood, were used as a judicial police force
for Castile.
Catholic Monarchs created the Royal Council, and
appointed magistrates.
Ferdinand and Isabella were noted for being the
monarchs of Spain at the modern era. They had a
goal of conquering the Muslim kingdom of Granada
and completing the Christian reconquest of the
Iberian Peninsula.

FOREIGN POLICY

The Catholic Monarh set up alliances such as the

Holy Roman Empire and the Habsburg dynasty ,
England and Portugal.
During their reign, they conquered Melilla, Oran
and Tripoli.
After a war against France , they recovered the
kingdom of Naples.
New geographical expeditions let to the
discovery of America.
