Funeral Directions If practicable | request that my body or any part thereof may be used for therapeutic put I wish my body! r Guardianship Appointment If my wife Sarah Example dies before me | appoint my father Edgar Example and my mother Mary Example of 1 Old Stree York YO5 5ZZ to be the guardians of my children who are under 18 years of age Provision for Pets If my wife Sarah Example shall predecease me it is my wish and desire that any pets in my possession at the date of my death shall be provided with a good home for the remainder of their natural lives. \ give my pets together with the sum of 3000 pounds or such larger sum as my Trustees shall assess so that its value at my death shall be the same value as at the date of this Will free of all taxes to my Trustees and | request my Trustees but without imposing any binding trust or legal obligation and without conferring any interest on any other person to make arrangements in respect of my pets and of such legacy in accordance with any memorandum or note of wishes of mine which may come to my Trustees attention within one month of my death. Definition of my Estate In my Will where the context so admits "my Estate” shall mean: All my property of every kind wherever situated, All my property of every kind wherever situated over which | have a general power of appointment. The money investments and property from time to time representing all such property. Administration of my Estate My Trustees shall hold the residue of my Estate upon trust to retain postpone sale or sell it and will: Pay any debts funeral and testamentary expenses. Further Gift of Residue | give my Residuary Estate to my children living at my death subject to each attaining 21 years of age with power for my Trustees in their absolute discretion to advance to any such beneficiary part or all of such entitlement which my Trustees deem to be for his or her permanent advantage or benefit on such terms as they shall in their uncontrolled discretion think fit which shall be held in equal shares and if any of my children shall fail to obtain a vested interest leaving issue who survive me and reach the age of 21 years then such issue shall take by substitution such failed share and if there shall be more than one of such issue they shall take in equal shares per stirpes but so that no issue shall take whose parent is alive and so capable of taking Substitutional Provisions If the above provisions for the distribution of my Residuary Estate fail then the following shall apply. Power of Appropriation To appropriate or partition any asset in my Estate in or towards the payment of the share of any of my beneficiaries notwithstanding that one or more of my Trustees may be beneficially interested in the exercise of such power and that such appropriation shall be valid and binding without the consent of any beneficiary or person whose consent would otherwise be required by statute. Power of Insurance To insure any asset of my Estate on terms as they consider fit and to pay the premiums out of income or capital and to use any insurance monies to replace or restore any asset oF if this is not possible to use the monies as if these were the proceeds of its sale. Power to Delegate To delegate their powers of investment to any company or person and may allow any investments to be held in the names of such company or person.
