To Whom It May Concern,

This letter serves as a formal reference for Miss Jordan Tamblyn. During
the 2010-2011 academic year, Miss Tamblyn participated in the Technologytargeted Practicum Placement Project, a formalized program opportunity
made possible through the collaboration of Grand Erie District School Board
and Schulich School of Education, Nipissing University, Brantford Campus.
During this practicum experience, Miss Tamblyn acted as a resource person
in the areas of media literacy and information technology for both her host
teacher and also for the grade school students who were in the associated
class. She was able to leverage technology tools within the classroom
curricular program, thereby enriching the learning of all involved. For
example, she developed a unit focus for using GeoTrackers in an effort to
enhance the Geography program offerings. She also actively sought out
expert technical speakers and guests for the classroom in an effort to
further engage students.
Miss Tamblyn demonstrated an unwavering commitment to this practicum
experience, attending the weekly technology tool ICT training sessions that
were held at the university and then working to apply these tools within her
classroom teaching and interactions with students.
As Technical Advisor for this practicum project, I worked closely with Miss
Tamblyn throughout the year. In so doing, I observed Miss Tamblyns ability
to identify and create very unique learning experiences for her students
that were based upon curricular connections. She also demonstrated high
levels of patience, solid problem-solving skills, and perseverance throughout
this program. She earned the respect of both her Host Teacher and also of
the Grade 8 students who were part of her practicum placement.

I would highly recommend Miss Jordan Tamblyn as a strong candidate for

any position or role within Education.

I remain open to further clarifications or inquiries.

Sincerely,

Tim Pugh
