There is a minimum of 2, maximum of 7 on each team, How many teams can a school have? Unlimited, although if more than one team from a school is solving the same long-term problem category, the schoo! must hold multiple memberships. What kind of time commitment is involved? This really depends on how much time the team needs to finish its solution and the ages of the team members. Team meetings can be weekly in the couple of months leading Up to the tournament, with some possible weekend building sessions in addition, less frequently before that. Recommendations for meeting length K-2 no longer than 45 minutes once a week 3-5 (recommended, especially for first time teams, that you divide the grades this way and not allow first-time K-2 students on a competitive team) no longer than 75 minutes once a week, no longer than 90 minute building sessions. 6-8 no longer than 90 minutes once arweek, but building sessions can go longer. 9-12 no longer than 90 minutes once a week, building sessions can go longer, plan breaks for all-ages.
