THE BURNING MAN FESTIVAL

Good afternoon Professor and fellow classmates. The festival which I will speak to you today about is called the
burning man.
ORIGIN
In 1986 in the city of San Francisco, a group of friends decided to burn a wooden figure of a man of more
than two meters to celebrate the summer solstice; thus the Burning Man festival originates. Such was the
popularity of the event that in the early 90s they decided to move it to the desert of Nevada.
CELEBRATION DATES:
It begins eight days before Labor Day US in September. This year the burning man will be held from 28
August to 5 September.
PLACE TO SEE:
Blackrock Desert, Nevada, USA is the witness of each of the new editions of the festival Burning Man.
ACTIVITIES:
Different artistic manifestations occur, participants perform other activities such as biking through the desert
blindfolded and organize thematic camps and parades completely transformed and in decorated vehicles. For
that you must take your bike or camping tent or whatever you need for these activities.
MY EXPERIENCE:
I found this research somewhat interesting and I would like to have the opportunity to witness the burning
man.
