Community best defined is a group of people who have the same interests, religion, or

race. Community is very important to me because it is essential to aid those around

you, or even those in need. Through community service, ive become more aware of the
problems that occur in my society. Ive found compassion, through community service,
hunger, and pollution are not just things written by famous authors but, now something
with a face. Respect for others, is also achieved, just knowing that no matter what race,
religion, or appearance, everyone is entitled to basic rights. Responsibility was taught to
me as well through community service. I learned that its all up to me, I can make a
difference and I cannot will not avert my gaze from those who require aid. Ive found
gratitude, im very grateful because ive seen those who have less than me and that
makes me happy for what I have.
