Are college students really reading or just reading? Studies
have shown that college students are not actually digesting what
they are reading when using outside sources as support in their
papers. So what are they doing when theyre reading?
According to the study, only 6% of students are actually
summarizing their citations. According to the researchers, the
summarization method shows that students actually fully
understand their source and can use this information in their
own words.
