Final Portfolio Revision Plan
For my final portfolio I plan to revise Writing Projects 2 & 3 as I feel that both of these have the
most room for improvement.
1. WP2: This project has a ton of parts that I want to change because since the first draft of this
paper I worried that I was not specific enough in my examples. Even after several drafts,
there are still certain parts of this paper that are off topic or could be more on topic. I think
length is another issue with this project; although I was more worried about the quality of
information in my paper rather than filling up a page requirement, I do want to add more
information to the project. I made this assignment shorter because I didnt think I could
elaborate anymore, but this paper could be and Im sure has been the basis for an entire book
so I just need to find more examples. I plan to look through both my psychological and social
sources to find at least two more examples of disciplines.
WP3: I did not get to put as much time or effort into WP3 as I would have liked to, so Im
thrilled to be able to extensively revise this project. For my advertisement, I think it needs to
be made more concise in language and more visual to accurately depict the advertisement
genre. The letter is written well and I have no concrete revision plans for it in terms of what I
dont like about it, but I do plan to add a couple more writing conventions to talk about.
2. WP2: My peer review comments show exactly what I want to revise, that is, adding more
examples to the paper as well as shaving off and rearranging certain aspects that seem off
topic. I have a good example in the assignment talking about marijuana, however it is not
cited and off topic; I want to look it up to be able to cite it and be able to transition it with the
main topic.
WP3: The advertisement does seem to be too wordy for an advertisement, but I want to be
able to write enough information to get my point across. I dont want to put less information
there just so my project can look more like an advertisement while being void of content that
I need to include.
3. WP2: Your comments on my paper point to everything I want to revise, specifically, creating
a deeper analysis of each genre. I plan to do this by adding more examples and expanding on
already developed examples. I also want to examine the approach and methodology more,
something I barely touched on in this paper.
WP3: I dont have your comments for this project yet, but I assume it will be something
regarding the paper length and going into more of an analysis rather than a reiteration of what
I learned.
4. WP2: The portfolio rubric points that I should go more in depth on the entire analysis as well
a thorough understanding of the approach and methodologies employed. I plan to go more in
depth for the sociological perspective because I think thats where Im lacking more crucial
information.

WP3: In revising this project, I want to completely redo the format of my reflective essay
which I wrote in the form of a cover letter. I also want to include a more extensive analysis in
each of these genres rather than just a listing of what Ive learned.
