Last All Night

Oliver Heldens
Aimee Clench

Plot
The plot of my video is about groups of teenagers trying out drugs for different reasons such as peer
pressure, socialising and simply trying to fit in. The video opens up with the teens walking or running
joyously to where they will be trying out the drugs. Then we see the moments they take them in and see
how it affects their lives and families in the end in the hope this will raise awareness on drug usage.
Theme
The theme to the video is about drugs and their consequences. The idea of it is to show how nave and
stupid teenagers can be, but done realise until they make big mistakes.
Imagery
Happy shots at the beginning to show how excited the teenagers are about trying something that is
considered as cool and fun. These shots are to show the mood of the teenagers to teach a lesson that
drugs are not what you think or hear they are. Dark shots and images at the end to set the mood of the
teenagers. This is to show the audience that the use of drugs will most likely end the opposite way to
how they started.

My selected idea

youve got me so
addicted to you
direct address, could
may be seen as the
madness of drugs and
how it makes them
feel. The fact they are
talking to the drug as
if it was an actual
person clearly shows
that they feel they are
being controlled.

The cleverly implies that the way drugs are talked

about among teenagers is wrong and a lot of
vulnerable teens are very nave to what they hear. In
this part of the video I would have two girls looking
at each other excited about what they are doing.

It's like a sweet release,

you're playing with this
emotion oh so cleverly,
you've got me so addicted to
you

The way that it says its

like creates the
meaning that it is like a
sweet release but isnt
actually as the bad
consequences last
longer than the fun The use of the word emotion
indicates the wide effect drugs
side.
have and how attached young
people can yet.

The playing in oh youre playing

with this emotion makes it clear
that the drugs are messing them up
and they think there is no way out.

Annotated lyrics

So addicted to you the word

addicted symbolises how the
teenagers feel and how they are
acknowledging the fact that
they are hooked on a drug.
On the line, its like a sweet
release I would have a shot of
one of the groups of teens
smiling and laughing, showing
how they think that the drug
they have smoked or taken is
good for them. This will show
the immaturity and the mind
process of a few teenagers that
are being targeted.
Sweet release shows how the
teenagers are feeling and
represents how better they feel
when taking drugs, but also
shows how bad they feel after
as I will show how differently
they act after the high is over
in my video.

Cant control their need for drugs /

struggling

[Verse 1:]
The lights are low, hot anticipation
Waiting for the show, feel my heart is racing
Losing all control, got me so impatient
For you, yeah, yeah
Cause in my mind, I see you touching me
In ways undefined, I don't wanna stop it
I've gotta press rewind
So baby, tell me what we gon' do, gon' do

Direct address- as if they

are actually speaking to
the drugs- may be
confused about what is
happening
Not quite sure how they are being
affected but still crave for more
Want the fun to last all
night.. May mean they take
more drugs than their
bodies can take

Want nothing more than

drugs

"Last All Night (Koala)"

(feat. KStewart)

[Chorus:]
Oh, don't you dance without the lights
Let's make this last all night, yeah
Oh, let's do it till the sky turns bright
Let's make this last all night
When you look into my eyes, the world stops and sparks fly
There's nothing sweeter than this paradise, sing
Baby, set your love on fire
We can make this last all night

Love for drugs is strong

like fire

[Verse 2:]
Feel this energy building up inside
It's like a sweet release, you're playing with this emotion
They know that it is
Oh so cleverly, you've got me so addicted
To you, to you
messing with their
Cause in my head, I know the night doesn't really have to end
minds in a unique way
I'm ready, steady, go, I am so prepared
And whatever you say, boy
Do what ever they have to do/ take
I'll do

whatever drug they have to take to have

a good time

[Chorus]

High excitement for what

they are about to do
impatient- Showing the
need for drugs
Acknowledging their
possible addiction
Wanting more and more /
hooked on the drugs /
addiction
Unsure what to do next
and what will happen
next
Repetition of last all night
shows how much they want
it and are possibly oblivious
to the consequences
Addicted- they know how
much they want it and cant
cope with it
Ready to take a big step /
confident about what theyre
doing

Black and grey tracksuits / Nike wind

breaker- for all the male cast as stereotypical
clothing for any teenage boy that doesnt care
much on appearance.
Pink tracksuit / white vest tops / leggings /
hooped ear rings / Nike windbreaker chavvy clothing for the female cast who
represent the types of girls who have been led
in the wrong direction or just have not much
money to spend on better clothes which we
look upon as not well educated.
Nike trainers / ankle socks / adidas trainers
any cast member can wear any one of these
as they are unisex and are what we would
expect to see a teenager wearing on their feet.

Costumes

Shisha pen : giving the idea that the teenagers are starting to smoke other things
too

To make sure that the areas we are shooting in will be safe, we will check
on a variety of things to make sure no one would be in any risk of harm.
The benches in the park will be checked to see if they arent weak as they
would be having teenagers stand and sit on them. To do this we will place
three heavy weights down to see if they can take the weight of the actors.
We will check all the lamp posts and lights in all scenes to shoot in so well
know if they wont fall or if they electrocute anyone. The risk of trees or
branches falling and hurting anyone will be prevented by bringing a
medical kit. The wildlife in the local area will not be disturbed and the
actors must remain calm when wildlife approaches. To prevent the risk of
anyone hurting themselves while being on the roof in the party scene, there
will be mats placed on the floor in case of anyone falling. Cutting
themselves on sharp objects will be avoided by removing anything that is a
potential threat from the bench before sitting; if efficient then apply first aid
or attend hospital dependent on depth.
