Objective
The objective of this presentation is to demonstrate how
to configure Ethernet and CES services.

Creating Ethernet Service

1.0 Ethernet Service

1.1 Create Ethernet Service


Select menu Service Management > Ethernet Service >
Service View and click on Create.

1.2 Create Ethernet Service


Enter a Service Name, Service type as E-LAN and
SVLAN ID as default and in this case is 51,

1.3 Create Ethernet Service


Select the 2 ports to be used for the transport service. In this
example we selected CESoP P0/1 and port 0/3. Click Next to
continue.

Select Next to continue

Click Next to continue.

Leave Service Priority as Priority6.
Click Next to continue

2.1 Create CES service


Select menu Service Management > CES Service >
Service View and click on Create.

Select Operation mode as Advance.
Select PW type as CESoP

Ensure all timeslot are selected. Confirm Port setting.
Note Remote and Local UDP port setting.

Enter a Customer VLAN (CVLAN) and Select Add.
Click Next to continue.

Click Add a Traffic profile if none was created.
Click Next to continue.

Select the Ethernet service that we created in previous
step. Click Next to continue.

Important Notice
The next step (2.7) is only require when creating the FIRST
CES service.

2.7.1 Create CES service


Enter a Name and Source IP address, Net mask and
Default gateway.

IP address should not be the same class as your management IP address.

2.7.2 Create CES service


Enter Destination IP address. (This is the IP address of the remote CES
service). Click Next to continue.

Click Apply to create the CES service.

3.0 Clock Synchronization

Clock Synchronization
Note
Ethernet port properties PHY master slave selection is
configured as automatic.

TDM clock is derived from the Local PDH (E1 or T1).


If using FPMR, please ensure that SyncE is configure
correctly.

3.1 Configure Clock Synchronization (Local)


Select menu Clock Sync.
Ensure that the Clock Mode is configured as ssm

Select menu Clock Sync > Transmit Source Clock for E1/T1/
tab.
Ensure the Output Clock Type is configured as System.

Select menu Clock Sync > SSM Configuration for
Ethernet Port tab.

Enable SSM on the appropriate Ethernet port.
Highlight row and Click Modify to enable selected port.

Select menu Clock Sync > General Sync Configuration.
Click Create to create a sync source.

On the pop up window configure at shown.
Ensure the Clock source is the correct PDH (E1/T1).

Wait for at least one minute for the Synchronization state
to change to locked.

Select menu Clock Sync.
Ensure that the Clock Mode is configured as ssm

Ensure the Output Clock Type is configured as System.
