SHUCKERS STRIKE LATE FOR 2-1 WIN OVER BARONS: The Biloxi Shuckers turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1
lead in the eighth inning to take game one of a five-game series against the Birmingham Barons at MGM Park.

RBI single to right scored Brett Phillips from second for the go-ahead run. Starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff
did not factor into the decision, but allowed only one run on five hits, a walk and seven strikeouts. The Mississippi
native has allowed just four runs over his last three starts (19.1ip) after allowed eight in nine innings in his first two
Double-A outings. Stepehen Peterson earned his fifth win of the season out of the bullpen, and leads the team in
that category. Daniel Tillman picked up his third save in as many chances with a scoreless ninth.
TODAYS STARTING PITCHER: RHP Adrian Houser (2-5) makes his 11th start of the 2016 season, and willl face
the Barons for the first time in his career. The Oklahoma native will be making his first start since June 1, and the
Shuckers have not won any of his outings since May 9 agaainst the Jacksonville Suns, going 0-4 over that span.
Biloxi is 3-7 when the 23-year-old takes the mound.

Todays Start: 23-year-old Adrian Houser makes his 1th start of the 2016 season in game two of the five-game
series against the Birmingham Barons on Saturday. The right-hander is making his first start since June 1 against the
Mississippi Braves.
Last Outing: Houser did not get a decision in the Shuckers 6-2 loss to the Mississippi Braves on June 1. In six
innings, the Oklahoma native allowed one run on seven hits, a walk and four strikeouts.

Mike was born into a baseball family as Sandy and his father, Epy, was a renowned scout in the Dominican Republic who unearthed over 40 Major League players. Mike
was named after former Major League pitcher Mike Torrez, who was a friend of his father. His uncle, Mario Guerrero, was a Major League infielder with Boston (1973-74),
St. Louis (1975), California (1976-77) and Oakland (1978-80).
Mike and his wife Larissa reside in Melbourne, Fla and the couple has two sons, Michael and Daniel. Mike was born in Santo Domingo, DR.
