Introductory subject template:

General guide for the first time your meeting students irrespective of subject:
- Introduce yourselves: where you studied, where youre from, what you are
currently studying, hobbies etc.
- Really focus on creating an atmosphere where students feel welcome and not
intimidated (or dumb) when they ask questions.
- Try and find out why your students are struggling with their subjects and try to
connect with them on this front.
More specifically academically focused questions:
- Ask what topics students are currently studying in the relevant subject youre
tutoring.
- Try to identify common misconceptions/problems/gaps of knowledge with respect
to the relevant subject.
Final remarks:
Note that meeting your students and understanding their needs, how they work,
and getting them to trust you is a slow process and dont be disheartened if it takes
a while for them to warm up to you .
