Alarming Calls: History, Myth, and the contemporary India

Indus Civilisation was of the non-Nordic non-Aryan pre-Vedic Indians; it was

predominantly of the indigenous Dravidian people and of other ethnic peoples of
ancient India. This was a Bronze Age civilisation (33001300 BCE; mature period
26001900 BCE, pre-Harappan cultures starting c.7500 BCE.) This prolonged era of
vibrant civilisation was marked by scientific, rational and pro-people characteristics:
this has archeological evidences in the form of city planning and civil engineering,
water reservoirs, community bath house, fine and accurate measuring tools, grand
structures of granary, written scripts or literature which is the basic requirement of
any scientific and rational education system etc. Yet that pre-vedic culture never
tried to construct any non-utilitarian anti people monuments or tombs like the
Pyramids in the west, which is a complete wastage of human efforts in the name of
superstitious beliefs of the despotic rulers. Findings and elaborate clues support the
fact that this pre-Vedic Civilization had an organized form of government to rule the
society. The civilization was literate, and its script, with some 250 to 500 characters,
has been partly and tentatively deciphered; the language has been arguably
identified as Dravidian.
The Nordic Aryans are supposed to have come into prominence and reared the
Vedic culture in India during 1500-1200 BCE and believed to be one of the causes of
the decline of the Indus civilizations. The pre-Vedic Indus Civilization did not
disappear suddenly and many elements of the pre-Vedic Civilization can be found in
later cultures. The Vedas were originally in oral form created by the occupying
Aryans, and found its written form (with borrowed scriptures of the pre-Vedic Indian
origin) somewhere around 500 BCE. The lip service Nordic-Aryan culture gradually
spoiled the rational, natural and egalitarian basis of pre-Vedic ancient Indian
civilisation, became the perpetrator to impose an inferior and racist Vedic culture on
the much more advanced and liberal pre-vedic ways of life in the sub-continent.
Those horse riding fair-skinned Nordics had their swords, bows and arrows and an
apparently good sounding but illiterate language (Aryan/ Sanskrit with no scripts) to
bully and bulldoze the native Indian peace and prosperity and to impose a gradual
but firm hegemony of an inferior and mediocre culture which was destined to
imbecile irrationality in the forthcoming ages in the form of casteism, nonegalitarian and non-utilitarian religiosity among other social degeneration. That
humbug culture treaded from west and north to the east via south in the subcontinent. They cheated, occupied and corrupt the culture of India. They named the
more advanced clan of native people as Asaura (demon), a distinctly racist and
abusive remark referring to language and skin colour both (refer to the numerous
Deva and Asura fights concluding with Asura killings; Manu Smriti, which had been
accused of denigrating the lower castes and untouchables in India; assault of
Surpanakha the south Indian woman by the north- Indian brat Laxman etc. in the
epic fictional stories such as the Ramayana). As they did not have scripts, they did
not have good and scientific education. Their only education was story telling

(jumla and/or myths), and warfare. Gradually they borrowed scripts from the
natives, changed their strategy and synthesized with the pre-existing Indian
religious-cultural traditions for their own survival, while continuing the Vedic
hegemony in the cultural mix. Like the perfect criminals they were never eager to
preserve the finger-prints of their inhuman misdeeds and massacres. They have
never been shown any respect towards scientific objective neutrality of
written/recorded history. With no recorded history the hut-dwellers occupied cities
somewhat like the Vandals did in Rome.
They did head-hunting, created divide and rule strategy for this (refer to the
Bindhya and Agastya myth, or the Bali and the Bibhishana incidents in the
Ramayana). They used story telling instead of stating facts to hide their own
longstanding crimes. They fabricated and manufactured past with their stories; with
deliberate cunning intention they made the past hazy and mythical, mislead people
into a dark and dubiously double standards of Karma. Gradually the victims and the
attackers learned to co-exist and created a religion of fusion illusion dualisms
pluralism: Hinduism. Shiva (the pre Vedic natural god) and Brahma-Vishnu-Indra
(the Vedic-sky gods) eventually stuffed into one strange and absurd culture. But the
power of poetry and language implicitly preserved the truths, which was probably
designed to soothe people and to hide the truths. Buddha was one of the early
rational defenders of humanity against this absurdity. Now we can only refer to
mythology, folklores, geography, anthropology and some archeological evidence
fused with missing links to unfold the dark and erased history (decline of Indus
civilisation 1500 BCE to the time of Buddha 600 BCE or to the extent of 16 Maha
Janpadas and Greek invasions) of our country. India rose again under the leadership
of the Eastern part of the country: Magadha, which is again of the non-Aryan
(Chandragupta Maurya was non-Aryan; Ashoka the great promoted Buddhism and
he based his empire in the pro-people egalitarian spirit; during the Guptas golden
period Indias prime religion was Buddhism not Hinduism. But the fragments of
Vedic humbugs again gradually popularized their people dividing casteism stricken
religiosity in the sub-continent. They attacked on Buddhist rationalist practical world
view. This time they used the non-Nordic or mixed descent (the Yadava clan for
example) to promote their vicious intention: Krishna (means Dark, hence nonnordic) was made the avatar of Vishnu (the Aryan Vedic god). Sri Rama, Sri Krishna
both are marked as the avatar of Vishnu, the difference in the manufacture is that
Rama was more man than a god; Krishna was more god than a man. The Gita
episode of the epic-fictional story Mahabharata preached the non-utilitarian and
regressive Vedic culture.
After the Islamic insurgence/revolution (800 CE onwards) in the sub-continent the
fragment of Vedic Hindus started blaming everything on this new target, and
afterwards the European colonizers trickily used this divide to rule India. Some of
the Muslim rulers such as Sher Shah, Akabar contributed immensely to shape a
synthesized Indian culture; they positively contributed to set things reformed.

Although many ruthless Islamic attackers were also the cause of destruction and
this created a new stir in the already confused and declining India. Islam remained
steadfastly unchanged and influenced native culture more than the other way
around.
The Islamic invasion also attributed in part to the military strength of the Islamic
(Slave Dynasty, Mughals) kingdoms as well as duration of their stay in India. Advent
of Islamic culture in India also gave rise to a lot of trade with Persia and the Middle
East as well as giving rise to a whole new entrepreneurial class of people. The field
of Music & Fine Arts is arguably Islams greatest contribution to Indian culture. IndoIslamic music came to be and many new instruments like the sitar were introduced.
Islamic influence can also be found in Hindustani music, as also folk music like
Qawwali. This Islamic mix complimented the Bhakti movement by giving us Sufi
saints who propagated peace & love through devotional songs. Sufi movement
attracted lot of Hindus to Dargahs while Hinduism impacted Sufism in adoption of
Siddhas and yogic posture. A new language Urdu was also developed due to fusion
of Persian and Hindi language. Islamic Architecture blended with Indian architecture
to give a whole new style of Indo-Islamic architecture with domes, arches and
engraved columns. The Taj Mahal is a wonderful example. Islam also brought a rich
cuisine with it from sweets like Gulab Jamun & Badhushah to the world-famous
Biryani. Islam had a significant impact on Indian culture without which India
wouldn't be India.
During the freedom struggle against the British rulers the Vedic fragments (which
now can be identified as the RSS- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) had always
remained passive supporter of the colonial rulers and never took part in the
freedom struggle. According to Martha Nussbaum, the RSS regarded itself as a
social movement and stayed away from the Indian independence movement. It also
rejected Gandhi's willingness to cooperate with the Muslims.
After founding the organisation, K.B. Hedgewar started the tradition of keeping the
RSS away from the Indian Independence movement. Any political activity that could
be construed as being anti-British was carefully avoided. According to the RSS
biographer C. P. Bhishikar, Hedgewar only talked about Hindu organisation avoiding
any direct comment on the Government. The "Independence Day" announced by
the Indian National Congress for 26 January 1930 was celebrated by the RSS only
that year and subsequently avoided. The Tricolor the Indian national movement was
shunned. Hedgewar personally participated in the 'Satyagraha' launched by Gandhi
in April 1930, but he did not get the RSS involved in the movement. He sent
information everywhere that the Sangh would not participate in the Satyagraha.
However those wishing to participate individually in it were not prohibited. In 1934,
Congress passed a resolution prohibiting its members from joining RSS, Hindu
Mahasabha or the Muslim League.

M.S. Golwalkar, who became the leader of the RSS in 1940, continued and further
strengthened the isolation from the independence movement. In his view, the RSS
had pledged to achieve freedom through "defending religion and culture" and not
by fighting the British. Golwalkar even lamented the anti-British nationalism, calling
it a "reactionary view" that had disastrous effects upon the entire course of the
freedom struggle. It is believed that Golwalkar did not want to give the British any
excuse to ban the RSS. He complied with all the strictures imposed by the
Government during the Second World War. The Bombay government appreciated
the RSS by noting that the Sangh had scrupulously kept itself within the law and
refrained from taking part in the disturbances that broke out in August 1942.
M.S. Golwalkar later openly admitted to the fact that the RSS did not participate in
the Quit India Movement. However, such a dubious attitude during the
independence movement led to the Sangh being viewed with distrust and anger,
both by the general Indian public as well as certain members of the organization
itself.
The Rashtriya Swaysevak Sangh initially did not recognize the Constitution of India
and heavily criticised it in view of the fact that the Indian Constitution made no
mention of "Manu's laws" from the controversial ancient Hindu text Manu Smriti,
which had been accused of denigrating the lower castes and untouchables in India.
When the Constituent Assembly finalized the Constitution of India, the RSS
mouthpiece, Organiser (newspaper), complained in an editorial dated 30 November
1949 that,

"But in our constitution, there is no mention of that unique constitutional

development in ancient Bharat... To this day his laws as enunciated in the
Manusmriti excite the admiration of the world and elicit spontaneous obedience and
conformity. But to our constitutional pundits that means nothing"
Now, with the longstanding tradition of forgetting and manufacturing history, the
people of India are witnessing the pro-Vedic Hindu notoriety having their awesome
time again. Unfortunately, the rioters and enemies of the people are being
democratically elected. History repeats itself when it is dubiously forgotten. As we
hear the alarming calls, it is high time to awake and to rise to save the unity and
prosperity of our beloved country, the unique land of Unity in Diversity.
