Safety Pamphlet

Criteria:
Must be handed in on time. Due date is ________________________________
Staple this rubric to a corner of your pamphlet.
Using an 8.5 inch x 11 inch blank piece of paper, you are to create a pamphlet and
divide the brochure into 2 equal panels/vertical sections. (hamburger style)
All sides must have information on it and they will include the following:
On the front: The Importance of Safety, Science 6/7, your name, date, advisory.
Inside Front: divide this panel into 3 sections with the headings as on page 256
Choose one rule from each section that you believe is the most important. Write
the rule in full under the correct section then illustrate the rule. (draw or find a
picture that shows the rule)
The next side: divide this part into 4 with the headings as on page 257. - Choose
one rule from each section that you believe is the most important. Write out the
complete rule under the correct section then illustrate the rule. (draw or find a
picture that shows the rule in action)
The back sides: copy the HHPS chart, then choose 1 safety symbol which you think is
most important and explain what the symbol represents.
Creatively colour and decorate your brochure using each side to its fullest extent.
It must be neat and clearly legible.
All writing must be in black pen or typed.
Example format:
Page 1 - Title
Page 2 - Follow your teachers directions, Act responsibility, Be science ready
Page 3 Heat, fire, and electricity, Chemicals, Glass and sharp objects and Living things
Page 4 Hazardous Household Product Symbols
