Kanna Bag Works

The owner of the shop is Mrs. A.Chellamani.

Kanna bag works is a bag shop where they
stitch and sell tourist bags, small children
school bags.
In addition to the bag they stitch they also
buy and sell the bags in wholesale.
He is blessed with two sons and a
daughter.

He is a person from Nelakottai and his family business is

planting flowers and selling it.
As there is insufficient water in the village for planting they
moved from their native to Madurai.
He worked as a daily wages as a person who stitch bags in a
company with a wages of Rs.50/day
After some days with a initial investment of Rs.1000, he
bought machine and material.
He started stitching the material with the help of the machine
in home.

stitched in a cycle and
go where there is tourist
or crowd and sells the
bag.
They do not earn more
profit, if they sell a bag
they get a profit of Rs 10
or 20.

business for last 15
years, but they started a
shop only before 5
years.
As they do not get
more profit as they sell
only the stitched bags,
they started selling toys
and purchase some
other bags in wholesale
and sell it.

He purchase raw
material in bulk from a
wholesaler.
Only after finishing
the material
purchased, he will go
for next purchase.
With the help of raw
material once
purchased he will be
able to stitch 15 bags.

There is no employee in this shop.
The whole family work for the success of the job.
Now his son started practicing stitching of bags and started
helping his father. Which helps in increase the number of bags
stitched.
They recently started an another shop which is little away from
his old shop.
The new shop is fully handled by his sons with the help of his
father and mother.
