Dear Dr. Holder,
I would like to apply for the Veterinarian position you advertised on
iHireVeterinary. Because of my experience as a veterinary student at the
University of Florida, as an intern at OLeno Veterinary Services, and as a
ranch manager at my privately owned zoological preserve, I feel as if I would
be a great asset to your business.
My education and research would benefit your practice and patients
significantly. As an Animal Science major and Wildlife Ecology minor, I have
been able to study many areas of animal and wildlife care. I have had
experience with and absolutely enjoy caring for large animals in the field and
any size of exotics.
I recently completed an internship with OLeno Veterinary Services of Fort
White, FL, owned by Natalie Lamneck, DVM. The clientele of Dr. Lamnecks
clinic have provided me with great experience and I have attached a
reference letter written by Dr. Lamneck.
Finally, I would like to describe my personal experience with animals before,
during, and after veterinary school. My family and I have owned a private
ranch, Sunshine Zoological Preserve, located in McALpin, FL for many years.
Since I was born, I have been in direct contact with many species of exotics,
including great apes and other primates. My experience with primates,
antelope, exotic swine, and many species of bovine is extensive. Growing up
on a farm has provided me with broad knowledge of farm practices. These
skills and knowledge will allow me to provide your clinic with a colleague that
is eager to help, but also zealous to learn from others and work as a team.

Thank you for this opportunity to apply for your opening. I look forward to
hearing from you about this sensational position. I can be contacted by cell
at 816-651-1741 or through e-mail at (Shaylynn.Kolwyck@gmail.com).
Sincerely,
Shaylynn Kolwyck
