Workshop on Brainstorming to Solve Statistical Problems

A workshop on Brainstorming to Solve Statistical Problems was organized by the faculty members
of Department of Natural Sciences, Daffodil International University (DIU) on 11th April (Monday),
2016 at Room 308, Main campus from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm. This workshop was facilitated by Dr.
Md. Kamrul Hossain (Assistant Professor), Most. Tajmery Mahfuz (Senior Lecturer), Saujanna
Jafreen (Lecturer) and Ms. Maksuda Akhter Rubi (Lecturer). Students from different department
(such as CSE (day & evening), SWE, ETE and TEX) was present to find out difficulties and solution
to make easy the course (Statistics and Probability).

The workshop was started by making group among the students on different topics. Then they were
asked to talk each other on their selected topic and find out problems. By this time, faculty members

were busy to help them. After a while, students were found some problems and they tried to solve
that by themselves. At the end of the workshop, volunteers from the students came discuss their
problems and how can solve it. The faculty members also helped them to understand the problem and
solve it. Students were very positive and cooperative during the session. This types of workshop very
much motivating and inspiring to the students. From now, these type of workshop will be arrange in
every semester to increase their academic performance of the student.
