Raisingtheminimumwagewillbegoodfortheeconomybecauseitwillhelptakepeople
outofpoverty.AccordingtoachartproducedbyCEA,Raisingminimumwageto$10.10would
raiseincomesforanestimated12millionpeoplenowinpoverty,lifting2millionofthemoutof
poverty.Ifthewagesgohigher,thenoutofthe12millionthatareinpoverty2millionwhichisa
goodamountofpeoplewillnotbeinpovertybecauseoftheamountofmoneythatismade
yearlyandwillraisethem5%abovethepovertyline.Gettingpeopleoutofpovertyisgoodfor
theeconomybecausewhenpeoplehavemoremoney,theywillspendit,whichhelps
businesses.Overall,increasingtheminimumwagewillbebetterforeveryoneintheirwork
placesandeconomicallybecausemorepeoplewontbelivinginpoverty.Thepeoplethatdon't
havemuchmoneywillstarttogainmoneywhichmeansthattheycouldspendmoneywhich
helpstheeconomyincrease.
