    conceptofracism.Themostimportantthemeinthisbookisinequalitybecausecitizenslike
    TomRobinson&ArthurBooRadleyarejudgedfortheirskincolor&socialclass.
    TomRobinsonstrialisanexampleofinequalitybecauseheisanAfricanAmerican
    wronglyaccusedofrapingawhitegirl.Thejurywasmadeupofmostlyofwhitemen,andeven
    giventheevidencethatTomwasnotguilty,thejurystillconvictedTom.Tomwasadeadman
    theminuteMayellaEwellopenedhermouthandscreamed(323).Thisquoteshowsinequality

    socialclass.Inequalityisimportantbecauseitisstillhappeningtoday.Forexample,thereis
    policebrutalitytowardsblackpeopleandthepeopledoingitareoftenwhitecops.Itisstill
    happeningaroundtheworldandissomethingthatpeopleshouldnotforgetaboutbecause
    therewouldbenopeaceifitcontinuestohappen.
