The information below is for international students (Incoming students, Enrolled students, Exchange
students, Diploma candidates, Researchers) who wish to apply for PNU dormitory. Read carefully and
proceed accordingly. But, all of incoming students who complete an application and payment during
designated period are supposed to be chosen for successful applicants. Diploma candidates are also able to
apply for dormitory online from last semester.

4. How to apply
(1) Undergraduates, Graduates (Degree Course), Diploma Candidates: Online Application but, diploma
candidates should submit the receipt of tuition fee, recommendation letter by supervisor additionally.
(2)Researchers are not allowed to apply online. They should submit an application form, a copy of alien
registration card or passport, a copy of contract to services@pusan.ac.kr or Office of International Services
(Bldg. no 202) in person. The period of payment is same as announced, but you should transfer the
dormitory fee to NH 948-01-148218.
5. Early Move-in
(1)Successful candidates of regular move-in are able to register for early move-in.
(2)Capacity for early move-in is decided based on the room availability. Priority goes to new international
students and exchange students abroad.
(3)Successful acceptances should pay for 4 days from Feb. 24(Sun) to 27(Thu) regardless of move-in date.
(4)Meals are not provided during early movie-in days.
6. Selection criteria
(1) Selection Priorities
Top Priority: New students, exchange students, Korean Government Scholarship students
2nd Priority: Undergraduate and graduate students
3rd Priority: Postgraduate research students (registration required)
4th Priority: Researchers
(2) Selection principle
Undergraduate and graduate students are selected based on their GPA.
Postgraduate students and research students are selected according to the ascending order of the
number of semesters they have resided in the dormitory.
GPA of enrolled students has to be over 2.0 and it is the average of two semesters.
7. Additional Application
Students who miss the application period are able to put their name on the waiting list.
When there are rooms, OIS will contact them personally.

15. Note
(1)Dormitory rooms will not be provided for those who fail to apply during the application period.
(2)Meal plans are mandatory but you can choose between 2 meals a day and 3 meals a day.
(3)Those who are not able to eat in dormitory due to religion should submit the statement to
services@pusan.ac.kr in advance.
(4)Those who took a leave of absence are not able to apply.
(5)You should apply for the dormitory every semester (spring, summer, fall, winter)
(6)From 2013, we provide 3 types of meal service. You can apply for 3meals a day(Mon~Sun), 3meals a
day(Mon~Fri) or 2meals a day(Mon~Sun).
16. Insurance
Dormitory residents should hold insurance otherwise dormitory acceptance will be cancelled. Those who
have already had the insurance are required to submit the copy of insurance card or policy to
services@pusan.ac.kr or submit it to the Office of International Services in person. Those who havent had
should purchase an insurance which OIS offers. You should transfer the insurance fee when you transfer
the dormitory fee.
