Pastor Benjamin Hawks

Pastor Hawks is a native of Gainesville, Georgia and

son of the late Rev. Dr & Mrs. W.B Hawks. He graduated
from the University of North Alabama after which he
accepted his commission and served in the Armed
Forces as a Commissioned Officer in Europe and
Stateside. He and his wife, Cheryl, wed in May of 1979
and enjoy traveling together as the Lord leads.
Pastor Hawks and family returned to the private sector
in 1990. They have resided in Erie, PA., Cleveland, OH
and in 1995 by Gods Devine providence Georgia.
Pastor Hawks completed his theological studies at International Seminary of
Plymouth Florida, satellite campus at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in
Lawrenceville, GA. He is currently enrolled and working on his advanced
degrees in Theology at Andersonville Theological Seminary.
His Ministry of service has been continual and with excellence. He has
served in the body of Christ as Children Church Facilitator, Usher Ministry
President, Mens Ministry President, Mens Bible study Facilitator,
Discipleship Facilitator and Co-Chair for the PHBC Kingdom Builders prior to
being called to Pastoral Ministry.
Pastor Hawks serves as the Senior Pastor for the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of
Clarkesville GA since May of 2009. God has blessed the Church under Pastor
Hawks leadership retiring the mortgage 3 years early, developed a strong
teaching Ministry in Sunday School and Bible study while engaging the
missing millennias. He facilitated and oversees the community of Faith joint
worship services since 2010.
Pastor Hawks truly loves the Lord and believes If my people, which are
called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
