Resignation by auditor

In case of a Company other than a Government Company, auditor is required to file a

statement to the Registrar of Companies and Company within 30 days from the date of
his resignation.

In case of Government Company, such statement shall be filed with the CAG of India.

The statement shall indicate the reasons and other facts as may be relevant with regard to
his resignation.
