CAUTION:
Two people are required to move the Imager down the ramp.
Stand in front of the Imager as you control its movement down
the ramp. The force of the Imager down the ramp is about 48
kg (106 lbs). Be careful not to tip the Imager or allow it to roll
off the side of the ramp. The Imager weighs from 266 kg (587
lbs) to 287 kg (632 lbs) depending on whether or not there is a
sorter.

6. With 2 people, move the Imager slowly down the ramp.

7. Position the Imager so there is a space of at least 1 m (39 in.) at the
front, back, and sides of the Imager for removal of shipping
restraints.

Checking Accessories
Check that the following items are included with the crate:

1. A box containing electrical accessories:

4 power cords
2 network cables (long and short)
Set of 5 voltage matching plugs

2. A box containing 2 preventive maintenance modules (PMM)

3. A box containing 1 film tray and screws
4. If the Imager includes the optional sorter, there is a box containing:
4 film trays
6 covers for the sorter mechanism
mounting screws

5. If the Imager does not have the optional sorter, a box containing a
small plastic cover, screws, and hole plugs is included.
NOTE: The User Documentation CD and 2 printed manuals were
removed when the top was removed from the crate. The CD
contains the following manuals: Site Readiness Checklist, Users
Guide, Safety Manual, Quality Control Guide for Mammography,
and this manual.

IMPORTANT:

You should have read the Safety manual by now. If not,

please read it now.

Power Cords
Carestream Health provides the following power cords.

Power cord with plug for use in North America

Power cord with plug for use in China

Pwer cord with plug for use in the United Kingdom

Power cord with plug for use in Europe

If your Imager is located in another area, check to see if one of these

cords is compatible with the AC power outlets at your Imager site. If not,
you must obtain a suitable power cord locally. You must use an
agency-approved power cord with a plug type suitable for your location
and Imager amperage. Contact your Carestream Health representative if
you need assistance.

Installing the Film Trays and Sorter Covers

The Imager comes with either 1 or 5 film trays that you must install. The
number of trays depends on whether your Imager has the optional sorter.

Sorter Option

If your Imager has the sorter, continue with the "Sorter Option"
procedure below.

If your Imager does not have the optional sorter, continue with the
Non-Sorter Option on page 28.

If the Imager has the optional sorter, you must install the 5 film trays and
7 sorter covers. The following figure shows the items to be installed.
IMPORTANT: You must remove the back cover from the sorter and
re-install the back cover later.

If your Imager is located outside the areas listed above, you may be
able to use one of these power cords if the plug matches the power
outlets in your building.
If you cannot use any of the power cords provided, you must obtain
a suitable power cord locally. You must use an agency-approved
power cord rated for adequate amperage with a plug type suitable
for your location. Contact your Carestream Health representative if
you need assistance.

3. Use a voltmeter to measure the AC voltage at the power outlet that

will be used for the Imager.
