Writing Checklist

____ My first and last name are on my work

____ I have used correct capitalization throughout my work (first letter of every sentence, first
letter of all proper nouns)
____ I have used correct punctuation throughout my work (. , ? ! )
____ I have color coded words that I think are misspelled and used resources to correct them
(sound it out, dictionary, ask a friend, ask a teacher who is available)
____ I have used my strongest vocabulary words possible, using resources like the thesaurus and
our vocabulary units
